Love this place ! Carla ! Phil and Frank pr my go to people when I frequent this place , osso Bucco is my signature plate here no one in Philly can do it better. Be prepared to wait because one can’t rush the way it’s made. Order an appetizer the tomatoe salad is a win the seafood risotto too is equally as good you will not be dissatisfied with anything on the menu.
Don't review often. Bartender at Hilton Garden Inn called ahead and set up a table. Hands down one of the best meals I've ever had anywhere. Mark and team took great care of us and we didn't have to order. They had an incredible sautéed calamari app and dinner that the waitress suggested (bone in veal and side of homemade pasta). It was simply out of this world! Will be coming back on every trip to Phili!
One of the best Italian restaurants in Philadelphia. Quality food, service and atmosphere. Old world charm.
We really enjoyed dining in at Dante & Luigi’s for the first time last month. Service was incredible and so was the food. We ordered so much that we ended up taking half of our entrees home. If you’re in the South Philly area you have to give them a try! Plus pay with cash for a 10% discount. Would highly recommend the baked lasagna too 😋
A top 5 restaurant of all time. Was so immersed in the experience, never took a moment to take a picture. We ordered an appetizer, entree, bottle of wine, and dessert. Cannot imagine a better place for holiday gatherings, family dinners or date nights. Will be back very soon, thank you.
Outstanding old school Italian dinner. All of the food was terrific but the gnocchi and the meatballs were the big winners, as was the caprese salad. But everything was great. Highly recommended if you like Italian food. And there’s valet parking.
I can not say enough positive things about this establishment. It was Saturday night and we didn’t have a reservation, but they found a way to get us seated (group of 6). The other customers were even friendly. All the meals, apps and drinks were amazing. Just when we thought it couldn't get better, they have us free lemon cello's!!! My wife is a flight attendant and has dined in every major city and this place was amongst the best!!! This will be the first place I am headed when back in Philly!!!
Let me just say wow. From the service to the food, the hostess was so friendly as were the other employees welcoming us, I forgot our waiters name but he was amazing. He described everything so well and was also super funny cracking jokes with us. The food itself was honestly to die for, I haven’t had Italian food this good ever. My expectations were definitely met and we can’t wait to come back next time we’re visiting Philly.
We started off with a bottle of moscato, and complementary bread.
I had the Jersey Salad - which is Italian tomato’s, Italian onions, mozzarella, basil with balsamic and olive oil and it was fantastic.
For my entree I had the Gnocchi Romano and when I tell you I’ve been dreaming about it ever since, I really have. It’s hard to explain but it was rich and savory and perfection all in one.
To take home we had a cannoli and it was the cherry on top of a fantastic Italian meal.
The setting was very romantic and I’d recommend Dante and Luigi’s to anyone looking for the best Italian meal they will ever find in the United States.
Really good service and quality food. The gnocchi with carbonara sauce was absolutely delicious. You can tell that the gnocchi were homemade. The portions are generous as well. I just wish parking situation was better. But the 10 block walk was worth it.
Good value and excellent service. The food was good, nothing special and our server was very attentive and knowledgeable. Prices were very reasonable but I found the space a little loud. Perhaps some acoustic treatment?
