We had the spring rolls, crispy fried naan bread with their amazing sauces for starters then the shaken beef, tamarine prawns, long green beans, empress rice (my fave), and garlic noodles with a mocktail (alcohol-free). Then to top it off the vanilla creme brûlée and molten chocolate lava cake with raspberry sauce and vanilla ice cream! Everything was delish!!

Originally was going there for lunch, but had a last minute change. Called them up and was able to change for dinner instead. Very friendly and very helpful. We were promptly seating when we arrived. The staff was very attentive. The restaurant has a nice ambient. The appetizers were delicious. The Hoisin Lamb Chop is a must have - tender and juicy. Also, best margaritas.

Came here on a whim craving something different. Walked in and the hostesses quickly sat us at a great table and service was excellent! I was also impressed by the upscale decor which is not often found in the Bay Area! All of the food was excellent, especially the clay pot cod and the the Paratha and curry. Those are definitely must try items! Will definitely be back to try more.

Used the opportunity to book a private event with the private dining menu. It was a party of 9 people so we used a sectioned off portion of the dining room although they had plenty of space if you wanted to host a larger event with more people. The food is beautifully presented and some dishes were a delicious standout compared to others. The brussel sprouts, shaking beef, river prawns were super delicious and the dessert was talked about afterwards with praises from everyone. Other dishes were not quite up to par with the premium expectations of the restaurant. Service was extremely courteous and quick.

One of my favorites. The menu is delicious and a little creative. The appetizers are all so good that I’ve opted to order tons of them to share family style with my party, instead of all doing individual entrees. Standout appetizers and side dishes: tea leaf beef, the taro rolls, honey squash soup (seasonal), fried calamari (they are the only place I know who can offer a gluten free version), and their arugula salad with persimmon (divine). Standout entrees: they’re all pretty solid. I really enjoy the clay pot cod and duck dishes. Standout desserts: the tapioca pudding is delicious but know the pandan sorbet that comes with it is very, very sharp and tart. The passion fruit pavlova is a consistent crowd pleaser.

Great variety of dishes, wonderful flavours, prices on the higher end for portion sizes. The calamari was well done, not overcooked, and I enjoyed the tangy sauce. The claypot cod was also not overcooked, though the sauce was a bit heavy and gross / sticky when cooled. Cauliflower just tasted like fish sauce -- if you are not used to the funk maybe skip it.

Our new favorite Palo Alto restaurant!! It was our first time dining at Tamarine and we were not disappointed. The menu clearly marks vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. We had the vegan avocado spring rolls, coconut rice, lemongrass tofu, tapioca dessert and a bottle of wine.

I have lived in San Jose for 18 years, one of the cuisines that I discovered here is Vietnamese. I was invited to a good friend's birthday celebration at this restaurant last Friday at 7 pm. When I arrived I found a place with two lounges and a huge and well-complete bar, our table for 14 very well set, with orchid flower arrangements and the birthday girl had decided on a set menu for everyone that was printed on each diner. Our table had 4 waiters: They began to serve the drinks - red, white and water wines. Then the first courses: srimp & pork sring rolls, bahn mi roti and lobster tempura. The seconds: Tamarine prawns, leamongrass seabass and salteed brussels sprouts. Everything delicious, we were already full when the third course arrived: Shaking beef, hoisin lamb chops, curried long beans and truffle garlic noodles but we made a little effort = D and we tried everything. Delicious. Dessert also arrived, a bread pudding with vanilla mouse at 10 Pm. We stayed until 11pm, an unforgettable night. I highly recommend this place for a elegant meal around art.
