5 stars just doesn't cut it for this place! I need ten stars!!! I proposed to my girlfriend here last night and I just want to say how great the service was from not only the waitress but the bartender and on duty manager. Hands down a great experience from The Thirsty Fish and I know me and my fiancé will definitely be back for years to come!!

Portofino Bay Hotel's Thirsty Fish is a small cafe-style lounge that sits at the bay's edge. It features wine, beer, cocktails, and a small menu of items for snacking. If you see this sign you're in the right place As with my review of Royal Pacific's Orchid Court Lounge and Sushi Bar , what makes Thirsty Fish a best kept secret is that fact that so many guests don't realize Universal has on-site hotels, let alone that the hotels have such impressive venues such as the Thirsty Fish. Imagine this: It is early evening, the sun is setting in the background, you and your wife are sitting down in a beautiful outdoor plaza overlooking Portofino bay, sipping on wine, listening to live music, and watching your fellow travelers coming and going from the nearby water taxi dock. Loved this place during our stay. The espresso Martinis were great. Loved that I could enjoy a cigar on a nice night with live music. My wife and I recommend it and will be back. Lauren was our waitress and she was very welcoming.
Was in here Christmas eve. The services was great and the Italian old fashion was a personal favourite. Will be going in for 1 or 5 on every visit to Florida.
The cigar selection is nice but limited. My girlfriend enjoyed her drinks. I really enjoyed the spicy peanuts. It's a nice place to relax especially if you like cigars. They have pizza and sandwiches. Nice wine list.
I'm glad this pub was on the Loews Portofino property and especially because we didn't feel like commuting elsewhere for drinks. They've got a really good cocktail selection as well as beer. They've also got a cigar menu for those that enjoy that. They're open in the evenings and late after all of the other restaurants have closed for the day. They have a cheese plate that will also go great with drinks. The outdoor seating is perfect on cool nights and it's in the open plaza area so you have a great view of the water as well as the Italian style theme that the hotel has got going on.
If you are staying at the Portofino Hotel, you will get to know this place! They call last call a little early, but the service is great. You overlook the water and could not get better people watching.
My husband and I stopped in for drinks and our bartender was friendly and accommodating. The drinks were good and we really enjoyed the live music. Highly recommend

Awesome bar with full kitchen. Enjoyed having a couple cocktails sitting water side in the simulated coast of Portofino, Italy.
One Margarita was $15.00.. However, the leather couches made up for it. Nice resting hideout.
