The best experience of our vacation (and we did the Mickey’s not so scary Halloween party). Great drinks and great atmosphere. There are specialty drinks that come with their own special effects. The staff are very interactive but an introvert can also be comfortable. Chris the bartender was fantastic and hilarious. Some drinks come with the option of a souvenir mug which are sturdy and very detailed. If you’re lucky when ordering the pearl you might get a black one! We had a blast and highly recommend. One thing to note, the wait time is long but worth it.

Drinks were delicious and the servers / pretty much every employee there was nice and super fun. We walked in had a 39 min wait but it was worth it. Ambiance and entertainment along with the drinks….. a def stop if you like good drinks and some fun!

Must try spot when visiting Disney or Orlando! The ultimate Disney bar experience. You have to get there early because they don't take reservations, it's a small bar, & it's first come first seated. They will take your phone number & text you when your table is ready. Each drink you order has a special effect on the entire restaurant. For example, if you order the pearl drink, special lighting, music, & a little show by the bar tender will happen. Without spoiling the fun, there are some drinks that have epic interactions such as putting out fire yourself using cinnamon. The food is only ok, the drinks are more fun than mind blowing, but it's all worth the heavy price tag.

If you're looking for a great tiki experience, this bar is a must. The atmosphere sells it. The service, and their devotion to the atmosphere, sells it. The drinks are on point, and very Polynesian (no pun intended). If you're looking to start a collection of tiki mugs, start the challenge here, and it will never end. 🙂 Get in line early, and be prepared to wait at the Polynesian just like you would any ride at Disney. It's a small space, but well worth the wait if you're into tiki cocktails and experiences.

TIPS FROM A LOCAL! While there is almost always a long wait to get through the door, try to walk up later in the evening, especially during the fireworks, for easier walk in service. With a little luck, and a small table of two, during the fireworks on a weeknight, you can likely grab a table easily. The drinks are FUN, I love the Spickey dole whip drink for adults. The dumplings are fast and yummy. The server cast members are outstanding. Trader Sam’s is a must visit for every WDW loving fan.

We absolutely love this place. The Grog Grotto is a fun, lively environment that celebrates tiki culture. From strong interactive drinks, fantastic service to tasty chicken dumplings you'll have an amazing time here. Don't forget to adopt your tiki glass....You just have to know how to get in.

This is easily my favorite Tiki Bar of all time. It’s a bit hidden in the Polynesian Resort, but if you ask around, folks will tell you were to find it. It’s walk up only and it can be a bit if wait so get there early and give your name and phone number and they’ll text you when there’s a spot. It’s a great system! As soon as you open the door, you’re compelling transported into another world. It’s nice and dark, covered in antiques and memorabilia from around the world and Disney parks history. You can spend hours just looking at all of the props and tchotchkes, trying to find all the hidden details. The staff is incredibly fun, with a variety of standard bits and fun when people order particular drinks. They also tend to go above and beyond with a ton of extra jokes and things they they throw at you throughout your time there. The menu is full of fantastic drinks that are delicious and strong. They serve some of them in amazing tiki mugs that you can buy. If you do, they give you a clean one in a box so you don’t have to worry about cleaning them out. They have a few small food options that are all delicious. The pot stickers and tacos are my favorites. Overall you can’t go wrong here, and it’s an absolutely must do when you’re in the area, whether or not you go to the parks!

Hope you like sweet drinks! The atmosphere was, of course amazing, and drinks were great. Our server just didn’t seem to be into it this night. She wasn’t bad, just didn’t seem to want to be there. After other reviews I really expected a little more interactivity. Flatbread was worth the price for a snack.

What can I say about Trader Sam's that already hasn't been said already? It is fantastic and I don't want anyone else to know about it! My wife and I were lucky enough to get in one evening after dinner, and are we glad we did! The atmosphere was that of a south seas tiki bar. The drinks are fruity like you would imagine a tiki bar would serve. The food was a bit overpriced for what it was, but delicious nonetheless. The walls were decorated with bits and bobbles from the south Pacific and everytime someone ordered a drink with a real glass, the place came alive. You will have to see it to understand. For our drinks, I got the Zombie and my wife got the Hippopoto-Mai-Tai. They were fruity and delicious. We got some lettuce wraps for a bit of food and they were tasty as well! Overall, we will definitely be back. There are many more drinks we want to try and see what the bar has to offer as a result.

I was just at this fantastic bar this past Friday. Let me tell you it is a must have stop for good drinks, food and experience. Sally our bartender made our day. The jokes and silly antics are what this place has. Our host Maggie was 5 star!
