This is the second time coming here. Great service, even though they were almost completely full. Not sure about some of the negative reviews...who goes to a sushi place when they don't eat rice? I recommend these guys. Oh! Get the beef udon.
Best Sushi and Japanese Eatery in town. The weekday specials are by far the best and more affordable in town. Weekends are friendly and moderately priced as well. The food and service even when busy is by far the best.
I would definitely come back here. Food was really good. Only challenge I ran into was that the server didn't speak much English, but other than that it was nice place
There was a 20 minute wait for a table but I expected that because I had googled the busy times before we went. We had a good time. It's an amazing price for their all-you-can-eat lunch special. We'll definitely be visiting again.
Took my kids to this all you can eat sushi and we left satisfied. You get decent sushi for a decent prize. The staff although attentive were a bit distance
We tried the ‘All you can eat’ dinner at Tokyo Sushi. The sushi was really good but couple of things we would like to share:
1. All you can eat dinner only lets you get 4 sushi rolls/person. We requested the waitress to bring eight rolls but she said that you should start with 7 and brought only 7 without confirming with us. 7 rolls were more than enough but she decided to choose which 7 out of 8 to bring by herself which was awkward.
2. The order took more time to prepare than it usually takes at other sushi restaurants.
3. The shrimp tempura wasn’t fried properly and could have stayed in the fryer for few more seconds/minutes.
4. Ambience is not too great.
Again the sushi itself was really good but there is room for improvement for above mentioned things.
When we got there Friday at 6:25pm, a few tables had people eating. By 6:45pm, the restaurant was mostly full. Staff was polite, helpful, and attentive. We did all you can eat and ordered 4 different times to be sure not to get ahead of ourselves. Our 12 year old man child enjoyed it the most. The rolls were not tight, so some fell apart while eating due to the rice being a bit off. It wasn't as cold and sticky as typical sushi rice, but I'm guessing that was due to the volume of orders. Not a big deal. Sashimi hit the spot.
The food was delicious - especially considering it's an all you can eat sushi we did. We only ordered one round with starters on it as well. We enjoyed all the sushi we ordered, no complaints there... I just wish they would've checked to see if I needed a refill on my drink... Uhm, ever. That said, everyone was very busy as we were there for a late lunch so I can't fault them too much. (I took a pic after my friend snuck a couple pieces....)
This is a pretty good spot to get into in the old market, when the usual places are full. Good sushi, for a good price in one of the most popular places in the city. It seems to be a bit under the radar compared to the places in the area, but if you haven’t tried Tokyo yet, you’re missing out. We got a table of 4 in, with no wait, at prime dinner time on Berkshire weekend. The host/manager who sat us did a wonderful job explaining how everything worked, since none of us had ever considered all you can eat sushi. But for $25 a person? It’s at least worth a try, and it was. Sure, I don’t think it is really close to the best sushi I’ve ever had, but you simply cannot beat it in an all you can eat setting. Tokyos hand rolls also hold a special place in my heart; like really, how am I going to say no to normal sushi wrapped up into a big sea weed cone instead of a normal shaped roll? Everything else just feels boring now in comparison…
One last thing, I ordered the spicy tuna pizza off of the rolls category(pictured), not knowing what to expect. You get a patty made of rice, which is fried, and topped with their spicy tuna mix and some sauce. It was a pleasant surprise, good flavor, with a style of cuisine I had never imagined possible. Regardless, I am craving it again as I lay in bed writing this.
My husband and I love going to Tokyo Sushi with friends! You cannot beat the all you can eat lunch special. High quality and the staff is always nice. My husband has a good allergy and they do a great job of keeping his food separate and he’s never had an issue.
This is seriously one of the best spots to eat downtown. Top tier sushi, fantastic and varied appetizers, pleasant staff and chill atmosphere. I eat here like almost every week now, cannot recommend more.
I know what you're thinking, sushi, in the middle of Nebraska?!? That was my thought also, but having come from Hawaii and Seattle this place easily completes with the quality and value of any place from more traditional sushi hot spots.
The all you can eat lunch is a particularly great value.
