Stokes in a nice place in the Old Market area of Omaha. It’s what I would consider a classy bar and grill. It’s nicely set up, yet it’s still a bar and grill so you can dress up, or go casual. Waiter we had was helpful in suggestions, and giving appropriate time. Once selections were made, food came in pretty reasonable time. Quality was quite good. We both liked what we had, and would be willing to try the same again, yet also be willing to try something different as well. Atmosphere in general was decent. You’ll get some louder volume in there due to the Old Market hang out clientele, but it was all respectful, just peoples friendliness and excitement. I would not hesitate to try this place again, and if you’re on the fence, I would give it a try.
Pretty good, although I feel the food was much better some years back. Still worth a visit. The Margaritas are fairly affordable for what you get. The staff is very nice. I got Barbacoa Flautas and I would get those again!
I truly enjoyed myself at Stokes. It was my first time there and I went for brunch. It was delicious by the way. Great atmosphere, wonderful customer service, staff were great, friendly, and hard working, drinks are delicious, and food was delicious as well. Great place to hangout with friends or date night with babe. Must go place 👍🏾👍🏾
Absolutely fantastic - and sooo reasonably priced. Staff are extremely friendly and efficient. Menu is packed with options from funky creative to traditional. It was a real treat. We live over 400 miles away and will be back just to dine here again.
Big happy hour menu with big-size portions.
We'd looked online and planned to come here for dinner. However, we arrived at about 5:40--still in time for happy hour.
We ditched our dinner plans and ordered two tacos (expecting half-sized versions), taquitos, and the Aztec nachos with the piccolo and guacamole on the side. And the house red along with a Moscow mule.
Our very gracious waitress left a dinner menu nearby in case we decided to add an entree, but to our surprise we couldn't even finish the three "small" plates!
We'll have to come back for dinner another day!
Excellent food, friendly and personable staff, tasteful decor... But weak drinks. I had this (Peruvian?) Shrimp dish and it was absolutely delicious. Definitely gulf shrimp as advertised- can't fool a southerner. I almost drank the oil/butter but didn't need the health issues that would surely follow. The spices at the bottom were where the flavor is but you had to dip through 3 inches of oil to get there. I would suggest they give you a little more bread or tortilla but no real complaints here.
What a great find. Stokes was ranked 23 for best of Omaha on trip advisor. I thought it was better. The queso was amazing. All of their sauces are so delicious. Sharon’s enchiladas were great. Don’t miss Stokes.
Wow! I can't tell you how many times we've drove past Stokes. Not anymore. We stopped in for a bite and loved it! I had a Brickway Lager. Unbelievably flavorful, with a coffee flavor. We had the Tenderloin Skewers, Deviled Eggs, Bacon wrapped Jalapenos, and Nachos. The food was delicious; flavorful and beautiful presentation. I wasn't crazy about the Nachos. Just chips, cheese, and tomatoes. The Skewers were UNBELIEVABLE. The atmosphere was relaxed and informal. The service was friendly and available.
The place was very pretty inside and had a fun atmosphere. The server was incredibly nice and knowledge about the menu and helped us find a vegan gluten option and it tasted phenomenal! I would recommend this tex-mex place for anyone visiting Omaha. Also the prices are very comparable to other places in the old market.
Cute restaurant. Love the lights in the windows. I tried the blackened salmon sliders & had the spicy cucumber margarita 🤗 it’s so good!
