My Wife and I went during lunch the other day, it was a slow morning for the restaurant. I had the Cheese enchiladas with jack cheese, not on the menu, and they were delicious. The service was great granted there were only about four other tables to serve. The salsa was very unique and worth the trip alone.
It was great Mexican food with okay Service, and a very clean and open dining space. I would recommend this place if you are in the area and want a quiet Mexican dining experience!
We love the food. It is always consistent and good. This restaurant is a step above your average Tex-Mex restaurant. Sauces are great....guacamole table side service is good, drinks are good. The chipotle wine sauce is to die for. It is the best Mexican food in the city, hands down. The margeritas are great, blood orange sangria is really good as well. If you are not rice and beans eater, the sauteed vegetable mix is really good. All in all, a nicely thought out menu, good service and nice ambience.
I've eaten at most of the common "Mexican food" places in OKC and surrounding areas from Taco Bueno to Ted's to Chellino's, to Tarahumara's in Norman (there are definitely more Mexican food Restaurants in Norman I need to visit).
Cantina Laredo is more flavorful than most and suits my spice-lovin' tastebuds. I liked the fact that their menu is not what you see everywhere else. The dishes and flavor combinations are a welcome change and everything we've had there we've liked. If you want to eat the same boring types of Mexican food you'll find at most other places, or Mexican food that's bland and flavorless, eat at Taco Bell so you can get french fries, too - you won't appreciate Catina Laredo.
