I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, and my experience was well enough for someone that does not particularly enjoy art museums. The museum's overall diverse collection spans various art forms, but what truly stood out for me was the remarkable glass art exhibits, especially the exquisite sand-carved glass pieces. At the entrance, my eyes immediately fixated on an extremely tall glass structure. Our primary purpose for getting tickets was to see the “Preston Singletary: Raven and the Box of Daylight” exhibition. The multisensory experience of lights, colors, sounds, and intricately carved sculptures added a layer of depth and beauty to each piece, creating a mesmerizing visual experience. Lastly, I did not have any children with me, but loved the various inclusive activities for young art museum goers.

Lovely museum! Not large, but exquisite exhibits, including the Chihuly glass exhibit. The library has a free pass for up to 5 people if you have a library card! 😊

The glass art is so pretty! The museum had 2 sections closed off the time I went, they also offer student and military discount. The building was kept cleaned, and all the glass art are monitored. In addition, parking was also easy to find.

If you have never been to this museum than you need to experience it. Many pieces that you get a sense of grief, sadness or even enlightenment from. the artists. the Chuhuly glass is mesmerizing. Take your time when u go throughto enjoy it all.

What a treasure for Oklahoma City! From the Chihuly exhibit as you come in to the rotating guest exhibits there's always beautiful art to be seen. They have redone the gift shop that seems bigger and brighter now and has a coffee bar with desserts from Ganache so make sure you check it out on the east side of the building.

Enjoyed 1st time visit using library Experience Passes, otherwise, would not have been happy BUT I'm not "artsy fartsy" ;-) The glass artwork section was phenomenal but make SURE you stay behind the tape on floor or you WILL be reprimanded but the "hawks" I mean staff. Did not pay to see any speciality exhibits. The painting artwork section was bit of a snooze, wasted space. The large Waterford crystal chandelier was unique, pretty. Gift shop, pretty darn expensive but nice variety. The woman taking tickets was GREAT & the one by chandelier as well; young others could learn from these two. Would only return if used free pass again. Once you've seen it....

They have some remodeling in process but I got some good views there. They gave discounts for students with IDs and free access for Bank of America members. I have some pictures so you can see it. It looks better in person. Some look different from the human eye compared to the camera

This museum was beautiful especially the blown glass sculptures. Not very pocket friendly however there are discounts for service members and the senior citizens. Bring a a light sweater it's a tad chilly. They also had these awsome bags to help the littlest visitors have a good time. The gift shop down the hall on the first floor was pretty awesome and there is a little Cafe inside as well.
