First time eating here. Not super busy when we stopped in to eat with some friends. Clean restaurant with, a welcoming vibe. Our server was friendly, and the other staff.
Felt like after we ordered it took longer than expected to get food. Once arrived everything looked delicious.
I ordered the early bird tenders with mash/biscuit/veggie - pretty good well seasoned. The biscuit could of done with a smidgen longer was a bit doughy in the middle.
My husband had the breakfast and said could not go wrong with eggs, bacon, and crispy hashbrowns. The pancakes were a bit chewy not soft and fluffy.
Our friends who came with us, the little girl just had the kid's breakfast and gobbled it up. She enjoyed it. Her mom ordered the chicken pot pie and said lack of seasoning, and the veggies were way past soft, and mushy.

A must try! Loved the atmosphere and service! Food was exceptional! Wife had an omelet. She said the best she's had in a restaurant! I recommend the shrimp and grits! I added my own taste with salt, pepper, and hot sauce.

We ordered the Chicken Tender Plate, the Chicken and Waffle, and 2 Diet Cokes. The food was the best I've ever had. Nothing was close to mediocre. Even the Diet Coke was delicious! You get big portions of food, so I got a second meal out of it.
The atmosphere was lively, and the music was good (old rock from the 70s/80s, I think).
Service was quick, and everyone was polite and nice!
I'm definitely going to come again! And I will recommend it to everyone I know!

Everything was very good and very large portion sizes for kids and adults which we appreciated. Food came out fast and the waitress was great. Loved the chicken strips and waffles, the spicy honey sauce, pancakes, and the regular and strawberry whipped butter. Biscuits were overdone but still good. Lots of options and would definitely return!

This is a super chill and friendly environment. The staff is super helpful, and I would definitely come eat again. Our server Isabella was super patient and helpful. The food was also great! The chicken strips are good.

We recently won a giveaway for a Valentine's Day dinner for two. Thank you, Metro Diner, for a lovely candlelit dinner for two. The food tasted excellent, and looked very nice as it was served (as it ALWAYS does) and the service Melissa gave us was top notch. Casey, the kitchen manager was very attentive and kind. I even got a bouquet of beautiful flowers. We love our Metro Diner in OKC, and we will definitely be back! Happy Valentine's Day! 💞♥️💘

Visited Metro Diner for the very first time this afternoon..
I was served by a young man named Julian. He was super pleasant, conversational, and seemed to enjoy himself as he made his way around the restaurant, serving other customers and doing other tasks typically fulfilled by wait staff..
I opted for the pot roast, which was featured on the monthly specials board.. It was delivered to my table hot and fresh and amply portioned..
The roast portions themselves were fork tender and had great flavor. The mashed potatoes underneath and the brown gravy were both good, too..
The celery and onions were cut a bit bigger than what I am used to, which made them more difficult to manage than had they been cut a bit smaller.. The carrots, while also cut bigger than I expected, were more easily managed..
All in all, the pot roast earned a solid 4 out of 5 for me while the service and the restaurant itself get a solid 5 out of 5..
I will definitely return to Metro Diner in order to sample the fried chicken.. And I would like an opportunity to try their breakfast offerings too..

This food was very good. I got the southwest scramble bowl and a southern pecan coffee. Our waiter Rafael was so amazing and attentive. He can pour you a coffee unlike anyone else, with no spills too lol. He made our meal there truly a great experience. We will definitely return !!

This is a solid place. Has lunch and breakfast. Serves till 8pm .. and has a great affordable breakfast.. reminds me if ihop with way better class and way better food. If your sick if paying for expensive breakfast with hardly any food ...come here.. good portions.. better price and better food

One word describes this place. Delicious! I get something different every time I go, and the food never disappoints. And the service is wonderful also. I can't wait to go back again. I do wish they would put a Metro diner on the south side of OKC then I would probably eat there all the time.

Metro is honestly my favorite place to come! Today we had the pleasure of being served by Rafael and Hayden, who made the experience even better. They both were very attentive and curtious not to mention fast! We will be coming back and hope we will get seated in their section.
We ordered iron city meatloaf, steak tips and mashed potatoes with green beans.
Oh and you can't forget their chocolate cake! All amazing!

First time visiting Metro Diner and it wont be the last. I had chicken and waffles and my hubby had steak and scramble bowl. The chicken was so moist which is great. I love the strawberry butter they use for the waffle. The steak is on the well done side but its fine. Had to wait for about 20 mins before we were seated but that's ok since we went on a Saturday and they advice us if the wait time before hand.

Just tried this place today with a friend. Not impressed at all, from the service to the food. Our server (there were SO many floating around and waiting our table, it was hard to know who exactly was our server) could not answer easy questions about the menu such as “Is your tomato soup more on the acidic side or creamy side?” or “What comes on the turkey sandwich?”. She got my friend’s order entered incorrectly (thankfully someone fixed it before serving it). I ordered the soup/sandwich combo. The soup was acidic so I didn’t like it as well and the sandwich was terribly simple...just slapped onto a piece of white bread which fell apart quickly. I wasn’t given a choice of breads - not on the menu or with the server. Perhaps their breakfast items would have been a better choice. May try it once more but won’t be ordering lunch.

Great service!!!! Went during lunch as was in and out. Large food portion. Price is high but for the portion is was adequate. I was able to make two meal. Out of the food I tried Fish and Chips were the best, I give it a 10. I give the fried chicken 7, meat loaf an 8 and the pot roast an 8.
I am going back to try their breakfast...

Great food, great atmosphere, great staff. I had the Philly Steak sandwich my husband had the Chicken pot pie,regular size, it was huge. Met the Manager Fran very nice gentleman. Good luck Fran and staff you have a great place here. We will be back to try the breakfast menu.

I highly recommend eating here! The food was outstanding!! I had the Charleston Shrimp and grits and it was probably some of the best I've ever had. My hubby had a breakfast platter and he loved his also! There is so much too choose from and everything sounded so good! The wait staff is very friendly! We will definitely be going back!!!

We went out for the soft opening. Food was delicious; portions were very generous and so much that we had to take leftovers home! There were four in our party and each got something different. All of us were pleased with our choices. Service was very attentive due to the training nature of the event, but everyone we met there was friendly and helpful. Go check it out for yourself!
