Great service!!!! Went during lunch as was in and out. Large food portion. Price is high but for the portion is was adequate. I was able to make two meal. Out of the food I tried Fish and Chips were the best, I give it a 10. I give the fried chicken 7, meat loaf an 8 and the pot roast an 8.
I am going back to try their breakfast...
Great food, great atmosphere, great staff. I had the Philly Steak sandwich my husband had the Chicken pot pie,regular size, it was huge. Met the Manager Fran very nice gentleman. Good luck Fran and staff you have a great place here. We will be back to try the breakfast menu.
First time eating here. Not super busy when we stopped in to eat with some friends. Clean restaurant with, a welcoming vibe. Our server was friendly, and the other staff.
Felt like after we ordered it took longer than expected to get food. Once arrived everything looked delicious.
I ordered the early bird tenders with mash/biscuit/veggie - pretty good well seasoned. The biscuit could of done with a smidgen longer was a bit doughy in the middle.
My husband had the breakfast and said could not go wrong with eggs, bacon, and crispy hashbrowns. The pancakes were a bit chewy not soft and fluffy.
Our friends who came with us, the little girl just had the kid's breakfast and gobbled it up. She enjoyed it. Her mom ordered the chicken pot pie and said lack of seasoning, and the veggies were way past soft, and mushy.
A must try! Loved the atmosphere and service! Food was exceptional! Wife had an omelet. She said the best she's had in a restaurant! I recommend the shrimp and grits! I added my own taste with salt, pepper, and hot sauce.

We ordered the Chicken Tender Plate, the Chicken and Waffle, and 2 Diet Cokes. The food was the best I've ever had. Nothing was close to mediocre. Even the Diet Coke was delicious! You get big portions of food, so I got a second meal out of it.
The atmosphere was lively, and the music was good (old rock from the 70s/80s, I think).
Service was quick, and everyone was polite and nice!
I'm definitely going to come again! And I will recommend it to everyone I know!
Rafael is the best server ever! I believe he walked on water to bring our food over. He treated us like family begging for a good review and money! Excellent food and service!
Everything was very good and very large portion sizes for kids and adults which we appreciated. Food came out fast and the waitress was great. Loved the chicken strips and waffles, the spicy honey sauce, pancakes, and the regular and strawberry whipped butter. Biscuits were overdone but still good. Lots of options and would definitely return!
This is a super chill and friendly environment. The staff is super helpful, and I would definitely come eat again. Our server Isabella was super patient and helpful. The food was also great! The chicken strips are good.
We recently won a giveaway for a Valentine's Day dinner for two. Thank you, Metro Diner, for a lovely candlelit dinner for two. The food tasted excellent, and looked very nice as it was served (as it ALWAYS does) and the service Melissa gave us was top notch. Casey, the kitchen manager was very attentive and kind. I even got a bouquet of beautiful flowers. We love our Metro Diner in OKC, and we will definitely be back! Happy Valentine's Day! 💞♥️💘

Visited Metro Diner for the very first time this afternoon..
I was served by a young man named Julian. He was super pleasant, conversational, and seemed to enjoy himself as he made his way around the restaurant, serving other customers and doing other tasks typically fulfilled by wait staff..
I opted for the pot roast, which was featured on the monthly specials board.. It was delivered to my table hot and fresh and amply portioned..
The roast portions themselves were fork tender and had great flavor. The mashed potatoes underneath and the brown gravy were both good, too..
The celery and onions were cut a bit bigger than what I am used to, which made them more difficult to manage than had they been cut a bit smaller.. The carrots, while also cut bigger than I expected, were more easily managed..
All in all, the pot roast earned a solid 4 out of 5 for me while the service and the restaurant itself get a solid 5 out of 5..
I will definitely return to Metro Diner in order to sample the fried chicken.. And I would like an opportunity to try their breakfast offerings too..
This food was very good. I got the southwest scramble bowl and a southern pecan coffee. Our waiter Rafael was so amazing and attentive. He can pour you a coffee unlike anyone else, with no spills too lol. He made our meal there truly a great experience. We will definitely return !!
