If you are an Ethiopian cuisine lover, please make an effort to visit this place. Possibly one of the best authentic Ethiopian food that I've had. Their spices and flavors are just right and bring a burst of flavors to your pallet. Their fish tibs is one of the best items in a the menu. The location is a plus, where you can stroll around the lake after the food. It's a must-visit place, and they are priced moderately.

Really good Ethiopian food in Oakland downtown! Very neat and their veggie sampler was top notch. Good quantity for the money and nice ambience. Like other Ethiopian places, it’s also on the expensive side, but I would give it for the taste and service. Must try their Sambusa! P.S: Parking needs to be done near Lake Merritt and walk your way up here.

Favorite restaurant in the neighborhood! I usually get the veggie platter & Ethiopian Nachos; both are vegan. They have a large selection of drinks. I enjoy the Ashlei’s Ethiopian iced tea. The nachos are the hot item here in my opinion, they’re fire! The flavors of the salsa pairs really well with the hummus and chips, and it’s all house made! A truly unique and incredible dish, don’t sleep! 🔥

Enssaro has quality Ethiopian food at a decent price and great service. Came here with a friend on a Saturday night where it wasn't too crowded and it was pretty quick to get our order. I got the vegetarian platter to share + the Ethiopian iced coffee. The plate is huge and comes with generous portions of the bread and curries and can be shared. The iced coffee had just the right amount of sweetness. I'll have to try some of their specialty drinks the next time I'm in town.

Pretty chill vibe to the place with friendly folks and a full bar. Each table had a QR code that is used to also place the order aka no counter based order due to prevailing covid situation. Tried Ethiopian milk tea and espresso; pretty unique flavor to espresso (tasted bit of star anise flavor) and milk-tea had familiar taste of milk-tea from Indian subcontinent with cardamom base. Tried the Veggie Sampler and additional order of our usual fav Misir Wot. Great taste! Would definitely come again to try other options in the menu.

Can I just say this was such a lovely find! Excellent service plus excellent food in a great location. Scanned the QR code for the menu and easily ordered the lamb tibs and meat combo that included chicken, lamb, and beef with a salad. When we asked the waiter if lentils were missing, he quickly sent over a side order even though we realized later it was not part of our order. Delicious, deelicous, deeelishus!!!
