Holly's Mandarin

I live in Belgium, so one of the things I tend to do when I head to my old stomping grounds is try to eat my body weight in Chinese food, and boy did this place not disappoint. The staff was lovely and amazing. The food was plentiful and filling. The sesame seed balls we got were the perfect mix of fluffy and sweet. I will be heading back every time I head to the Bay.

Used to get food there often until the day they treated me really bad for no reason. I was waiting for my order with a few other people and the man said to look at the Doordash table to check if my order was there, then i said i wasn’t doordash, that i called to order. Then the lady super rude said “you can go inside and check if your order is ready… go to the kitchen and ask”. I was like???? I’m literally just saying i’m not doordash. I didnt even complained my order was late because i saw they were busy. She, again, said for me to go check myself because they had a lot of orders. All the people there said she was being rude for no reason. I just walked out and said i didnt want that s*ht anymore. Their loss because it was not paid yet. 10min later she calls, i didnt pick up, and she left a voice message saying my food was ready. Completely crazy. Never going back there again.

For some reason I think all these good reviews are made out by the owner of this place. The food and service was hideous. I ordered a “chicken salad” and all what I got was some thick chopped Romain lettuce and deep fried greasy chicken. I had to change it for something else. I ordered a wonton combo soup, it wasn’t worth the price. The wonton doesn’t taste like real wonton. And the soup had weird cuts of meat, however I don’t even think I should call it “cuts” since the pieces of meat looked like someone chewed it and spit it in the soup as shown in the picture, also the soup was served very quickly which I don’t think it’s something positive since it makes me think that this soup wasn’t fresh. The shrimps seemed like they were seating in the pot for hours. The shape of the shrimps were weird as well. Service was horrible...
