I’ve been coming to this café for breakfast in Old Oakland for over a year now and it never disappoints. After buying fresh produce on Fridays from the Old Oakland farmers market, it’s become my ritual to stop here and have a light breakfast. Food is of quality ingredients and service is warm and efficient without being pretentious. There’s free Wi-Fi and outdoor seating available. I highly recommend this place.
I wandered into this cafe while I was in Oakland for FTC Super Regionals...it's literally one of the places I miss the most in Oakland and will be the first place I go next time we're up in the Bay Area. I ordered a mimosa they made using fresh squeezed on the spot OJ and prosciutto, egg, and cheese on toast (one of my breakfast faves.) Everything tasted amazing and fresh without being stuffy or pretentious. The entire staff was super friendly and I even met some Oakland transplants who had lived in San Diego (where I live.) It's located in old downtown Oakland lending a really cool, hip vibe to it. (When you're done here, visit the hundred year old deli next door!) I took home some persimmon jam (they have a rotating, handmade stock depending on what's seasonally available) and I highly recommend whether you're just passing thru or you're a local but haven't yet found this gem!
