Knew the owner since 1995. They are closing on two weeks. Food was as good then as it was today.

Went at 11 o'clock at night and were the only table! It was like a dream in NYC! Food was served promptly obviously as we were the only two their! Both ordered their steaks their done medium and they melted in your mouth! Was fantastic food! Best 20 dollar steak I've ever paid for! Good prices, great location, friendly staff, And amazing food! Doesn't get better then this!

The food was delicious. We ordered plain nachos, shrimp fajita, and yummy fruity red sangria. The nachos were delicious with melted cheese, guacamole, sour cream, meaty bean with a yummy sauce. The Sangria was delicious filled with bits of peaches, apples, and oranges. The salsa was just okay. I would go back. Service was good. Nice restaurant. Prices are very reasonable. I would go back.

This is an unknown gem in the Theater District. Solid drinks and yummy food. The Enchiladas are really really good. And the dip trio is perfect for two people. Maria the owner is in the kitchen and love is in every bite. Homestyle and homemade. Try it you wont be sorry you did.

Went in this restaurant for dinner. Friendly waiters and owners, Nice music playing and very clean. The decor was really nice. Very comfortable atmosphere. I order stuffed peppers, one with beef and one with rice. Very tasty, Had chips and salsa. Also ordered sangria (fruit). Delicious....Would definitely go back with family and friends.

What a secret gem right in the heart of the city - well at least the heart of Hell’s Kitchen. The menu is vast offering lots for the vegetarian crowd - not just rice and beans. I am a meat lover and found the items with meat to be seasoned just right. Aside from great tasting food, the drinks are great and mixed perfectly. Prices for food and drink are especially reasonable, especially for NYC, but come during their nice long happy hour (4pm - 8pm) and you will be able to treat your friends too! The restaurant is spacious and simple. The staff is extraordinarily friendly and on the day I was there, most of the guests were return customers who were greeted at the door by owner Maria Diaz with a great big hug. Maria talks of retiring, but if enough people cone around and it stays busy - LaAzteca will be around for a good long while (but don’t wait too long to pop in for a great meal and a drink)!

Out of all the Mexican restaurants me & my wife have been to in New York, NY, this was the most authentic Mexican I've had thus far. Free chips & Salsa, tacos were good and most of all.... The frozen margaritas were AMAZING. Never had them textured like a smoothie and they were delicious. Will go back for those alone.

Great Margaritas but beware happy hour only applies in the bar area.

This is a great little place, and it has been a part of the Hell’s Kitchen NYC community for two decades. I love the down-home vibe that is reflected in the cooking as well as in the entire experience. Sometimes going here feels like eating in someone’s home. There are other, slicker Mexican restaurants up and down the avenue, but the honey feeling here is unique.

I had a quick drink with a friend, and decided to try the Maple-Bacon Manhattan: polishes the insides and warms the soul (+ delicious). Best decision I made that day - beautifully balanced cocktail, which is a rare find. Too often, such drinks are overpowered by way too much sugar, but not here; the mash, dry vermouth, and candied bacon play off each other and practically infuse the bourbon. I shall certainly return!
