This Indian inspired cuisine is a must try for food lovers. Colorful and tasty food. Very different but with a tinge of known feeling. The quantities were really really good. I mean one meal can be eaten by two people(almost). The ambience is good too. The prices are reasonable. They experimented south Indian traditional food with a twist and it is a success I feel. Try their drinks, they’re are different and adventurous a bit. Hard to find a good quality Indian authentic restaurant in downtown nyc and this is a gem.

Can’t say enough good things about this place. It’s an Indian fusion restaurant with some really delicious and mouth watering food options. Personally I found few of the dishes too spicy for my liking but everyone else were quite comfortable with the spice level. So if your spice tolerance is low like mine, best to request for milder spice levels when you order. The place is quite huge so most likely you won’t have trouble finding a table. The ambience and vibe is excellent and the staff very friendly. Highly recommend this place.

Plus points for the lovely ambience, and the spacious feel, and the attentive service. The dishes were a hit or miss. The snack on the table to start with is a good, but some dishes like the pav bhaji and samosa were inexplicably hot (too much chili). The nan were thin, and cold, and turned into papad by the time we got them. The lamb chops and fish dishes were good, as well as the saag paneer. We enjoyed the mocktails, which were 50% off on wed. The restaurant is a good way to try some fusion indian.

We made reservations for 8 pm on a Friday night, and this place was packed when we arrived! Our hostess told us that their service was running with a 15-minute delay and we were given our table within that time. The restaurant set up is pretty good, nice bright lights, good decor and good music. For appetizers, we got Desi Fries with Keema, Madras Chicken Wings and Chili lettuce wraps. Desi fries were the best among all, followed by Chili lettuce wraps, which had a nice spicy kick to it. The Madras chicken wings was forgettable & at $15, they could've at least served 8 pieces. They served only 4. For main course, we got 3 curries which included goa pork curry, chicken 25 and gunpowder lamb fry. Their chicken curry was absolutely delicious. Packed with a lot of flavor and chicken was extremely well cooked. Goa pork curry was the next best delicious dish and spice level on both was perfect. The lamb curry was absolutely terrible and I would not recommend it at all. Did not have any taste and the meat wasn't cooked good at all. We also got a bottle of their gabaxo rioja and the last 2 glasses had cork remains in it.. left a very unpleasant finish to the bottle. Service was good and our waitress was warm, welcoming and attentive. The booth that we were seated in was very comfortable too, with the exception of a damn restroom door behind us, which wouldn't close because the restaurant doesn't seem to have time to fix it, which had cool drift of air continuously hitting us directly. It was really annoying to keep closing the door, every 5 mins and the restaurant staff did not seem to care that it was left open. Overall, it was an okay experience. Nothing spectacular, but for their delicious Chicken 25, which deserve a full 2 stars!

Went there for breakfast/brunch and it was one of our highlights of our NY trip! What a treat! The place is very nicely decorated, the atmosphere is cosy, classy and relaxed at the same time. The food was delicious, full of flavours. Indian food with a modern/American twist such as the peanut butter and nutella French toast. Indian families are privatising rooms there for private functions which is the only guarantee you need that the food is of great standard!

Amazing experience at Pondicheri this afternoon. Had Appetizers namely Kale Pakora Chaat, Pomegranate Pani Puri and Khandvi Followed by a Lamb Kheema Morning Thali, Chicken Frankie with House fries and Goat Bheja Masala. Spice levels were average and the food was truly delectable. Finished it off with Sindhi Ladoo, Parle G crack Ball, Besan Cardamom Mithai along with scoop of Housemade Malai Ice cream. Hope the quality of food and service offered is retained in the long run

I visited here for lunch on Friday. It was somewhat empty when we first arrived around noon but the place filled up pretty quickly. I think the service could have been better since we weren't sure who was our waiter and it took them quite long to get our order and bring our checks. . I ordered chicken naanwich with desi fries. It was definitely a new kind of taste for me. The naanwich and fries were somewhat spicy. The fries were not as crispy as french fries, but still very flavorful.

Delicious Indian food with a confident modern twist. The folks in the kitchen clearly know what they are doing, and consistently whip out dishes with strong traditional flavors, and meticulous presentation. The staff is warm and helpful. The delicious brunch is a welcome surprise, too!
