I read the negative reviews before trying this out, and I don't honestly know what they're talking about. There was a great selection of lunch food for us and our teenagers. The food was fresh and tasty. The staff was assertive but not at all rude, and it helped them move quickly through the lunch rush - I'd rather that than wait for 30 minutes for food.

Just visited New York at Christmas. Went in every day for soup before getting the subway downtown. The sandwiches and hot meals are amazing. The roasted brussel sprouts are amazing, infact I'm going to email them for the recipe and the name of the chicken and vegetable soup,thanks Craig,York England 🏴 xx.P.S WOULD YOU BE SO KIND TO CONTACT ME AND TELL ME THE RECIPE FOR THE ROASTED SPROUTS PLEASE, AND WHE THE CHICKEN AND VEG SOUP IS CALLED PLEASE 🙏

Bar none, one of the best lunch cafes around in midtown east. This is what I would expect from most cafes here, but unfortunately there's not many like this one. Delicious homemade soups (I mean real soups, none of that Hale and Hearty junk), sandwiches, salads, etc. Way better than your average sandwich shop, and not even comparable to your nasty bodegas. Welcome and glad to have you in the neighborhood!
I ordered linguine with tomato and basil sauce.. The pasta is made to order, so it takes some time but it tasted really good and I loved it smoking hot as it was really cold outside.. The ambience was okay as it was Christmas eve but they closed the downstairs seating for a while and it was difficult to find a place to sit

Classic New York cafe in the corner of E 46th St and Lexington….. great breakfast fast service highly recommend
