old school french bistro it happens to be kosher and you will see a lot of jewish people inside but don’t let that intimidate you if you are not jewish- the food, service and vibe is excellent! it’s worth it.

The ambiance at Le Marais strikes the perfect balance between refined elegance and a welcoming atmosphere. The dim lighting, tasteful decor, and attentive staff create an upscale setting that immediately sets the stage for an unforgettable meal. What sets Le Marais apart is its ability to maintain this level of sophistication while remaining surprisingly affordable.
The menu at Le Marais offers a range of options, from mouthwatering steaks to delectable appetizers and sides. Despite the upscale setting, the prices are refreshingly reasonable, making it a standout choice for those seeking an upscale dining experience without the hefty price tag typically associated with high-end steakhouses.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the food. The quality of the steaks at Le Marais is nothing short of exceptional. Cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor, each bite is a testament to the culinary expertise of the chefs. The menu caters to a variety of palates, ensuring that there's something for everyone, from steak enthusiasts to those seeking lighter fare.
What truly impressed me was that despite the affordability, Le Marais does not compromise on the quality of ingredients or the attention to detail in presentation. The dishes are artfully crafted, and each element on the plate contributes to a harmonious and satisfying dining experience.
The service at Le Marais further enhances the overall experience. The staff is courteous, knowledgeable, and attentive, providing a level of service that complements the restaurant's upscale ambiance.
Le Marais has succeeded in creating a space where diners can indulge in an upscale kosher dining experience without breaking the bank. Whether it's a special occasion or a casual night out, Le Marais stands as a testament to the fact that culinary excellence and affordability can coexist without sacrificing quality. I highly recommend Le Marais to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience in the heart of NYC.

Le Marais is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in the city. Their braised lamb shank is what my dreams are made of. I've never once had a bad dining experience here and I come here whenever I can after seeing a show or just in midtown. The prices aren't cheap but well worth the expense for a great treat and amazing customer service.

Le Marais is just different. The OG Kosher steakhouse in NYC. Food is absolutely superb and prices are… ACTUALLY AFFORDABLE 🤯 ! It does get quite busy, and the decor is definitely antique to say the least - but for an excellent meal, quick and efficient service, and the best prices in town - very highly recommended!
Oh, forgot to mention, best steak I’ve ever had!

It was a really good place to eat. The service was great as well as the food. In terms of the customer base, I saw more business professional people eating in the restaurant. Also, there are 2 bathrooms located inside the restaurant.

We came back with the kids this year and my son said it's the best entrecote he ever had. Video attached.
Great French restaurant with a very good service. The place is kept in its original state that has some charm. We took the rib and the entrecote, both were really well prepared and very tasty. We also took Le Marais Cabernet Sauvingon wine that is from California and is great as well. The price was more than correct for what we ate around 75 dollars each. It would definitely be a new address for us at NYC.

Delicious dinner. I like the rib eye which is similar to the prime rib less much of the fat, bone and the surprise. It's a hearty piece of meat, cooked medium rare, it's flavorful and juicy with an easy bite.
The la surprise is a small delicate thin steak with lots of flavor and fork tender.
The service was prompt and attentive.
