Cool place. Live music until 12 then it turns into a club. The dj plays afrobeats, hip hop, r&b and other house classics. Dope place to check out if ever in Harlem.

Fun show ( MayDay). This is an authentic, real deal dive bar. Surprisingly good food, too. I would definitely go back. Friendly bartender and staff

Shrine has a very vintage feel with a whole vibe. You can easily miss this place. From outside it looks like a Bodega. My friend and I passed this place more than once until someone told us that we passed it. When you walk inside you are teleported into a room filled with vintage scenery and a lively atmosphere of black folks with a sprinkle of "other" from wall to wall. It was packed when my friend and I visited, but in a good way. We had a great time dancing to afrobeats. Go, you will enjoy yourself!

A great time! Small, intimate jazz club. Get there early if you want to sit down! Just needs more seating.

Very lively spot where the dj will have you dancing all night long. Mainly Afro beats with other genre of music for everyone. Drinks at the bar are good but be prepared to wait as the place is always packed. Best nights to go are Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Trust me, the experience at Shrine is awesome.

Don't be shy. The small entrance hides a huge welcome to eyes and ears when you're in. From long play classic covers all over the ceiling merging to African art onto the walls, the colorful lights will guide you to the inspiring acts shining the lights of their music with a cozy burgundy velvet curtain background. Food was beyond expectations as we ordered some fish and chips to accompany some drinks. Stylish, underground-ish, yet elaborated atmosphere.

It was an interesting experience to enjoy a comedy show in the middle of Harlem USA so you will get the aura and the atmosphere of the community. The decor was very eclectic and if you are a Music 🎼🎶 lover, you will enjoy this spot. It is a live venue so they will have live music, comedy, spoken word, etc. Don't let the exterior keep you from the experience of the Shrine!

Stopped in to The Shrine randomly and had an amazing time. I showed up on a Friday night and the live band was amazing. The stage design and lighting is also unique. It’s a mid size space with not a lot of seating, but the environment calls for standing and dancing. The service at the bar was good. The aesthetic is very artsy with a lot of personality and homage to afro and Caribbean talents. Great for a solo outing, date night or small group outing.
