Seitan in orangesauce is a killer. Best vegan meal ever. Goes down with irish ginger ale they serve.
The most delicious vegan food ! One of my favorite restaurants.
Our search for oriental vegetarian food led us to Wild Ginger and am glad we did! It's a cozy little place with about twenty covers and fantastic service. We were a group of seven and ordered a variety of dishes like satay tempeh, bibimbap, kale avacado bowl, pad Thai, lettuce vegetable medley and more! The portions are huge, the food is absolutely delicious and full of flavor and it's very reasonably priced. This is a must must try.
A delight for vegetarians!!
I had just 1 dish but it was very wholesome , with just the right amount of garnish and veggies
I ordered the angle hair noodle salad with lettuce , mushroom , peppers , carrots , and tofu!!
The tofu was cooked with soy sauce and carried the salty sweet flavor! The angle hair noodle and vegetables were parboiled and when mixed with the honey based dressing it was the right summer dish !
We got here pretty close to closing we could only order take out. They have a lot to choose from--going there starving was a challenge since we wanted to eat everything on site. We settled for the seafood vegetable medley which wasn't bad. It came with soy shrimp and scallops. My friend ordered dumplings which were really good. Total for rice a plate and appetizers was about $27. Decent amount of food to share. Server was nice. Nice decor and tasty food. I like it.
Great atmosphere. Great food for a traveling vegan. Ordered the sweet and sour lunch special that came with miso soup, spring roll. Good prices.
Great Asian fusion food by any standard , and vegetarian/vegan to boot! Service was excellent too, and we thought the atmosphere was well suited for a casual lunch
Excellent lunch!. A friend suggested this for lunch. Great prices and wonderful food! I had the curry stew and DH had the smoked teriyaki seitan (no meat – DH said he did not miss it!) The lunch specials came with miso soup and spring roll. We also had the steamed dumplings and scallion pancake (which we did not like very much as it was different than what we were expecting). Service was okay. For 3, it was less $45. Wish we lived in NYC so we can visit this gem more often!
Spend day walking over Brooklyn Bridge and came here for dinner after. Really good food, excellent service and reasonably prices. Definitlet give it a try
Being an avid meat-eater, I was surprised by how impressed I was with this vegetarian Asian restaurant. I went there in the evening, and it was dimly lit and romantic. The menu was fairly diverse, and the food was flavorful.

Wild Ginger is Scrumptious. I stumbled on to this wonderfully yuppie delight while wandering the city. Dinner is on the pricey side, but lunch is reasonable. It is a tiny, but lovely interior. The entrance is a bit awkward, but the dark and cozy interior is calm and romantic. The food was really good and the wine is affordable.
Good variety of vegetarian choices and also noted dishes that were vegan vs vegetarian. Efficient service!
Love this place for the vegan selection. Always fresh and tasty. I particular love the green tea noodles but this time I got the stir-fry tofu veg lunch special which came with black rice and spring roll which was yummy. I just wish the tofu was cooked a little harder, I don’t love mushy tofu.
Their service has never been overly friendly for me but it’s never bad service either. Definitely come here vegan, vegetarian or neither and you’ll enjoy.
ApplePay accepted. Restrooms avail.
Veg Chinese restaurant in Chinatown. It looked closed from the outside as the drapes were partly closed, don’t be fooled. All the dishes were slightly better than average when compared to typical Buddhist/vegetarian Chinese places. That being said, my favorite was the general tso’s protein and the wild rice. I’m usually not a fan of “general tsos” sauce, but they make it more savory than sweet here. Also, the soy protein paddies were delicious! I would avoid the red curry ramen: the broth had too strong of a bamboo flavor infusion. The prices here also were not that expensive!
We liked the music they played as it added to the atmosphere. The food was served very quickly, but note that we were there shortly after opening and seemed to be the first costumers there. The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated, the staff was very friendly and attentive and the food was very nice.
One of my go-to vegan restaurants in the city. Food is good and the menue is very accommodating to those with different restrictions. They have an all gluten free menu as well. The food is flavourful and delicious. I highly recommend it. I've gone through most of the menu. Here I'm having their famous oyster mushrooms and Pineapple fried rice. All vegan. 😍
Nice vegan comfort food. Very filling.
On the downside, spring rolls were just two for six dollars. And there was an ingredient lacking in my dish. I asked the waitress and very politely she informed me about the mistake printed in the menu.
The seitan was very tasty though and the portions in our main dishes were satisfying. They were also willing to change the sauce as I can't handle spicy food.
In conclusion I recommend it, and could see myself going again.
A wide range of options for vegetarian food. I have dined at this location and the Brooklyn one a few times. Have tried the healthy options like macro bowl and less healthy options such as the sizzling stir fry and scallion pancakes. The food is good, above average, just not super incredible that's blowing one's mind away. The service at both locations was friendly and good.
Amazing Asian vegan food. The dumplings and spring rolls were delicious. Pad Thai and Singapore mei fun is a must try
I am not by any stretch of the imagination a vegan, however I do enjoy good food, and this place has good food, good service, and a very relaxed and friendly vibe. Highly recommended...
Came here for appetizers and a drink one weeknight with a friend - the appetizers (like the crispy silken tofu) were delectable! The drinks menu was just wine and beer so we decided to pass for the evening and just enjoy the food. The space is very small overall so we dined outside, which wasn’t the most ideal. The server was quick and brought food out very fast, although was not particularly friendly or chatty. The appetizers were so delicious and made so thoughtfully, unlike vegan/vegetarian appetizers in many other pan Asian spots across the city, that I would definitely come back for another try.
Beautiful spot, beach cove atmosphere with incredible vegan selection of Asian options from the sweet mango rolls to pad that and sezchuan eggplant. Wonderful flavors, cooked lightly and with individual sauces to make this an incredible and delectable meal. On my favorite list for every Nolita visit! Service was wonderful and provided great recommendations.
