Came here with a friend and had a great experience. The food tastes amazing. We ordered Drunken noodles, Curry Laksa and Veg dumplings. Everything was amazing. They also offer excellent vegetarian options, perfect for my vegetarian friend. Our server(whose name I don’t remember) was really very kind and accommodating. We were feeling a bit cold inside because our table was closer to the entrance. So we asked our server to change our table and he happily accommodated our request and moved us to another table. This place is always packed, so you’ll need a reservation to get in. Definitely check this place out for good Asian cuisine. I’m eager to return and try more dishes.

Steven @ Laut I absolutely love this place! I had the best experience here. Huge shoutout to our waiter Steven who took amazing care of us while we dined. Honestly he is one of the best servers I’ve ever had in New York City. The food is incredible and the ambiance will transport you to Malaysia. We ordered the Masak Asam Pedas with flounder and Ultimate Curry Laksa. It’s hard to describe with words how incredible the dishes were. The flavor was rich and full and the spice level was absolutely perfect. The flounder was so tender and delicate it melted in my mouth. I highly recommend getting a side of rice (I had the chicken flavor) to pair with your soup or curry. To drink we got the Bubbling Koji. It was light and not to sweet and it definitely packed a punch. I can’t wait to come back to Laut to try even more dishes and hopefully I’ll get Steven as my waiter again!

The waitstaff was so friendly and thoughtful! They took care to show us the jumbo size for their pulled tea, and they made sure to ask about allergies or dietary restrictions. When I booked the 3pm reservation, they called me to recommend coming earlier since they close at 3:30pm. We also really loved the food! The roti canai was as good as the Worth It video and all the reviews said! And the beef rendang and soft shell crab were both hits! The mango salad was okay. And of course the pulled milk tea was amazing! Would come again if we could!

My second time coming to Laut. I got the Ultimate Curry Laksa because it was amazing the first time and even better this time! My server, Steven, was so helpful and friendly. I was dining alone this time and was glad I was under his supervision! He provided guidance to my order when I asked and was very attentive. Thank you so much to Steven and Laut, I will be back!

First, they were able to accommodate a group of 9 at 6pm without reservation by make shifting a table outside— thanks for saving the day! Like always the food is incredible. Everything marked spicy is definitely pretty spicy, depending on your tolerance, but felt the heat and had to keep eating the coconut rice (which was delicious). Favorites are nasi goreng plate and the green curry. And if you’re not going for spicey, the pad se ew.
