Tried this place for the first time yesterday and right away knew we found something special. The place was totally slammed and extremely packed. However, all the best places in NYC are!
The food was so good when I was halfway through I ordered another round for the family to go!! Amazing! We love it and can’t wait to go back!
The downside? It certainly takes forever to place an order and get the food. Highly recommend ordering pick up to save time. Making matters worse there was a scuffle in the back and the ONE cashier was the only one to solve the problem… this added 20 minutes to the wait and let the line wrap around outside. That honestly makes no sense at all. Maybe one of the other 8 employees?
All the same amazing food but maybe better to order pick up to save massive amounts of time.
On a side note, some of the customers added to the wait adding one of everything from the menu and then not being sure what they wanted after a 20 minute wait to get to there.

Oh, man! I used to absolutely adore this place, but now it's just good, not mind-blowing. I mean, I've been here so many times in the past, you know? But hey, I do appreciate the effort they put into changing up the interior at this location. The menu is mostly the same, though they did add a few different momo options. All in all, it's a decent place, but I gotta say, they can be super slow when it comes to serving you. Oh, and here's a cool tidbit: students get a sweet 10% discount at this spot. By the way, my personal favorites are the chana and aloo masala kathi roll! Those are seriously tasty!

Perfect for a quick and light dinner.
I had the vegetarian rolls with paratha as the choice of bread and they were yummy!
Chai is good.
The wall decor was picturesque :)

Food was great. I order pick up so it was fast and the lady helpful get me extra smoothie and potatoes instead of I have to line up a pretty long line. Very helpful to answer that the sauces is include bc it's my first time. I have the Shami (lamb). May be chicken would be better since lamb a bit too smash? May be with extra other sauces would be better. It taste great nonetheless. Good atmosphere. Music bit loud but nice choice. The mango smoothie is definitely a must tried. Their chips is 7/10.

I got the Unda Chicken Roll and the Chicken Tikka Roll. The Unda Chicken Roll was fantastic, the chicken was juicy and seasoned to perfection, and paired perfectly with the egg and onions. Definitely the best thing on the menu in my opinion. The Chicken Tikka Roll was good but compared to the Unda Chicken Roll it was kind of average, it was mainly chicken and spices that you could taste and not much else. The mango lassi was sweet and delicious, and helped to clean my palate of all the spicy food.
It was pretty busy when we were there but that seems to always be the case. Our wait time wasn't too bad, we got our food in about 10 minutes.
The place is currently under renovation so there's a huge piece of drywall missing by the entrance, it's not the most pleasing thing to look at but it's understandable, they've got to keep making money after all.

We went to the Kati roll at 49 W 39th St, New York, NY 10018
The staffs were very cordial and the service was great
We tried the unda chicken roll and the shammi kabob roll
Highly recommend the unda chicken roll
We did brunch and also take out for dinner too
The place was a little cramped up but ideally most of the folks were doing take outs
Definitely a great place that reminds us of the chicken. Rolls from Bedouin in Kolkata,India

Had egg and chicken tikka roll with the spicy chips and the local Indian beer 1947. Delicious and quick. Only the roti could have been a little more crispy but then again one should put request prior. Overall pocket friendly. Outdoor section is the best place to enjoy the kati rolls in this cold weather.

I think this is an amazing late-night quick bite to eat. It’s not the most amazing food I’ve ever had, but it definitely hit the spot and I was satisfied.
I had a variety of flavors of the Kati rolls as well as the dumplings and everything was pretty good.
If you’re hungry and nearby, I recommend this over whatever random fast food spot you’d go to instead.

Best kathi rolls ever - tried chicken tikka, shami, paneer & aloo - they were all delicious. Chai was tepid, would have liked it hot. Momos are not worth it though.
