We went to The Yellow Kittens twice during our week-long stay on Block Island, and both times, we had a good experience. We sat outside on the deck. First time we shared a large nachos platter with brisket. It was quite good, but I was surprised it had bits of pineapple on it - maybe part of the salsa fresca? My husband picked off the pineapple but I liked it. Second time I had their taco salad with brisket. It was delicious and their brisket is tender. So look, this is a local joint with no pretense, folks, and the silverware and cups are plastic. If you're looking for upscale and more gourmet, go to the Oyster Bar and Grill at the Manassis Hotel.
Free pool, good nachos, and strong drinks. No complaints here!! Pretty chill atmosphere for a Monday afternoon, too. Will be back again.
The nachos were excellent! The burrito bowl and burrito were good as well. Two of our party got the tumbleweed burger and were disappointed, and the yucca fries were hard, definitely not worth the up sell... but all in all we enjoyed our lunch.
The food here is amazing!! It is extremely fresh with wonderful bold flavors. Gatitos offers a large variety of items and salsa choices. The grilled corn is a must try, nachos are piled high and stuffed with tasteful ingredients. Best Mexican food I've had in New England, and wait staff are very friendly and attentive! Make this a stop on your trip here.

The quasadilla was huge and very tasty. The chips and salsa could have been a meal in itself. The soft shell taco were small but came with a side. The chicken salad wrap was ok. Not a fan of cucumbers so I think might have swayed my opinion.
The downside to this place is the restrooms. They were clean but tiny and made me feel like I was in a Johnny on the spot. Avoid if possible, especially if you do not like confined spaces.

I went here for my birthday and although they had misplaced our reservation note, they quickly accommodated. They were also so nice to keep my birthday cake in their fridge and even brought it out when we requested it with candles lit and singing -- such a thoughtful treat!
