A group of friends and I had a wonderful dining experience at Eli’s in the early spring at the tail end of off season. It’s helpful to know that the space is small but full of character! It’s busy and at least in the end of off season they don’t take reservations, so show up early or plan to hang out a bit and enjoy a walk around town! The food was delicious and the server was very kind. I highly recommend!

Invented here and they’re delicious! Perfect amount of jalapeños to spice it up. Any of their fish, typically the Block Island swordfish, are excellent. This Visit I tried the Impossible vegan burger over the arugula salad with feta and it was amazing. Never would have thought I was eating a vegan burger, it tasted exactly like the real thing and actually better. Our waitress recommended it and was always friendly with a laugh as we reminisce over the number of years we’ve known her. Do add Eli’s to your list when on Block just skip the crab risotto surf & turf, not one of their best.
Eli's restaurant is a gem on block island. Not a big selection but a lot of attention is paid to each appetizer, entree and each dessert. Top shelf kind of place to eat at. This place would be recommended if it was in any metropolitan area. Cramed dining area.
A place not to miss on Block Island. The food was fresh and made with care while the menu featured a number of different cuisine styles to choose from that still highlight some of the local ingredients. We sat at the bar after they did their best to seat us but wanted to give us the option if we did not want to wait. The service at the bar was top notch making sure we were well taken care of.
We have been given this dinner recommendation many times and due to the fact that we like to eat outside usually while in BI we never have tried it. Until tonight!
It was a rainy windy night in Sept and we decided to try it….and we were blown away!
The beef poutine appie and arugula and goat cheese salad were amazing! So fresh and flavorful. The scallops were so perfectly prepared I almost did not want to touch them! My husband had the chicken and it was like a small thanksgiving dinner in my mouth! Everything was seasoned perfectly and prepared without missing a beat!
And the pineapple panna cotta was the most refreshing dessert to complete the meal!
We will definitely return!! Thank you!!!
This place was so cute and cozy! We walked in at the end of our night for a drink and were able to have one at the bar. Pictures of dogs everywhere and bartender was very friendly. Would love to go back for food as menu looked awesome and the couple next to us had delish looking dinners. But most importantly, my husband left his wallet by accident and they mailed it back to him the next day! We were so grateful for such an honest and wonderful staff. Thank you Eli’s - we definitely shall be back!!!!
Excellent as always. Food, wine, drinks, service, atmosphere are always spot on. Tuna Nachos and Halibut were incredible this year. Thank you Elis for always taking great care of us.
Really fun creative menu. Great food and service. No reservations and it doesn’t have many tables so it may be hard to get it.
What's not to love about Eli's on Block Island. Service and atmosphere is top notch and the food is unique and flavorful! Perfect place for a quiet meal that allows for conversation while enjoying some incredible food. Perfect place to meet the parents or bring a date and enjoy a nice selection of wine.
