Edward Six thrown out of Tea!!!
I am glad I happen to be at Tea when this Edward Six flip came in.. He actually hit on every female that came into sight. He asked the cashier and the waitress out within a couple minutes he was high on something and probably not life. The man he thought was the owner was a friend of the owner they had just finished a dinner party. He started complaining that last time he came he had too much food in the to-go plates (which is why we love this place so much you get a lot of great food for the price). We love you Tea!!
Best overall Chinese in the city...
Eggrolls and Cho Cho made fresh daily and their fried rice is best throw back in da City!!!
Lunch Love!!!. My husband and I come here all the time for lunch, no long waits, great customer service, nice atmosphere and GREAT FOOD!!!! I definitely give the green light for this eatery!!!
Birthday Visit!. I went to CTG for my birthday to get my favorite; General Tong's Chicken! I let them know that it was my birthday and they treated me very well! I am very picky when it comes to my food, especially Chinese. I have visited a few other Chinese places since being in New Orleans and no one tops CTG! I visit them about 3/4 times in a month. They are the best! Thank You CTG for being a part of making my birthday great!
I LOVED this place when I was in grad school. Cheap, good General Tsao's Chicken and a lot of food on your plate. Is it Five Happiness? No, but it was a great place to go for a long lunch with fellow students.
N'walinean. Fried rice and Egg Foo Yong are off the chain!
Surprisingly good cheap Chinese. Good parking. Horrible looking outside, but neat if bland interior. Lunch combos just $8 and big. Everything was decent quality. The Cho cho side was excellent. The shredded pork in hot garlic sauce is not my cup of tea, but decent. The cashew shrimp also -- though they diced the vegetables too much. Eggroll very fresh and good. Fast service. I really liked this place. 2/10.
It is what it is. As much as I dislike cliches, the title of this review describes Chinese Tea Garden. Surviving in a formerly destroyed part of New Orleans off Elysian Fields where more than 10 feet of water surged and sat for more than a month, it's nothing short of miraculous that the Tea Garden is back up and running--this while no other restaurants in this area are open to my knowledge. I'm not a huge fan of Chinese cuisine, opting more for sushi and sashimi, but the Tea Garden does what they do well. It's more of a lunch place for neighboring businesses than somewhere I'd go for dinner, but then again I'd never eat Chinese food for dinner. Service is lackadaisical with ennui-laden staff, and the ambience lacks inspiration. That said, the food is tasty at a decent price, and you'll be in and out within an hour. A good lunch venue that I'd give 3 of 5 stars.
Was driving back to Mobile having spent the day in Houma. There was a traffic jam so I jumped off the interstate and made my way here. Ordered the seafood spring rolls and pork fried rice. The spring rolls were hot, crispy, non-greasy and very flavorful. The fried rice arrived just as I was finishing the rolls. Oh My Goodness... They knew I was hungry because a family sized portion was lowered onto the table. It was piping hot, full of meat and the rice was perfectly cooked.
My server was very attentive and happy to see how much I enjoyed my food. Highly recommend the food.
The place don't look like much from the out side and not much on the on the inside. But the food is really good and the portions of the food are large. The price is also good. I had pretty fast service also good. All I can say take a chance and see what you think
I will go here again the next time I am in the mood for Chinese. If I compare this place to most other delivery Chinese places, they come out near the top. The chicken was full and void of grit. The staff was very prompt and attentive. Also, the prices here are fantastic. If they deliver, I am definitely ordering from them in the future!
New Orleans' best Chinese food. Period. The staff is friendly and polite. The egg foo young is my favorite. The portions are huge and the prices are reasonable. You'll love it! I promise.
Really good Chinese American food with very large portions
It took longer for my food to be ready. You have to wait at the door for your food, I don't have a problem with that, but there's nobody at the door to greet you or a bell for you to ring let them know that you're at the door
The server was amazing. I had General Tong's chicken by his recommendation. It tasted great! So much food, I made three meals out of it.
Ive been here several times and the food is delicious; plus the staff was still courteous.
I would like to say this is the best restaurant in town. You need to try it out . u gonna love it
