Seafood gumbo was really good, but the hot sausage poboy was a bit disappointing being patties and not links like the Andouille.
Average cost a plate ~$15/ each which is a bit high, but expected for the location.
Reading comments seeing it's a little slow to serve, but not sure what people expect with how crowded a walk up food vendor handles the foot traffic. Took about 5 minutes in line and another 5 minutes to be served...
Solid place with modest patience won't disappoint, but suggest going more with the seafood plates like gumbo or shrimp and grits vs their poboys.

Baked potato bowl with gator sausage was super delicious! $30 bucks for that and 2 large drinks. It was big and filling. Big enough to share with my husband! It's a must!

Accidentally ended up here during my most recent trip to Nola and wow, such a happy accident! My group and I tried gator for the first time and I can tell I’ll be regularly craving this 😩 we tried the gator sausage and burger and both were deeeelish. We also tried the frog legs and their upside down oysters and everything hit the spot. Customer service is also top tier — Braxton and his team are so so welcoming and you can really tell they love doing this. 10/10!

Their upside down oysters were the best oysters we had during this trip to New Orleans! They were so good that we sped over there the next day for 18 more. And the gator sausage is BOMB!! More importantly, Braxton, John Tyler, and Armand were amazing, kind, and made the best suggestions on what we should have. We also didn’t have to wait long for our food.
Great place to stop for good food made by great people.

Food was quite good. Did not have to wait super long. Went on a Monday. Waited maybe 25 min for food. Got the seafood platter and bbq shrimp. Both were pretty good. Shopping at the French market made me hungry and this place really hit the spot.

Get the "Swamp Platter". Best food I had all week. A little wait for the food but it's all made fresh to order - gave me time to grab a beer down the way.

It was January 1st. The line was long!!!! We waited. There is no place to sit right there but we were lucky to grab the only two empty chairs. The guys that work there are super educated. Great service. We ordered Gumbo and it was as good as all the other restaurants we had it before. It took a video but uts not letting me upload it.

Had the Swamp Platter and Oysters, and everything was delicious and full of spice. Nothing was overly hot and spicy, but had incredible flavor. The oysters and crawfish were so good. Blackened catfish was delicious too. Took a little while to get out food, but worth the wait. Plenty of seating and shopping around.

This is the best food I've had in New Orleans, I had the catfish platter, it made me cry it was so good. My wife had a big helping of red beans and rice, which was another banger. 10/10 would recommend
