Out of 3 restaurants we went to while in New Orleans this one was my favorite. It has a locals casual vibe and food that's very very good.

Food was very delicious. Always drove past it for years, I should have stopped in a long time ago. Edit:Really enjoyed our most recent visit. The dried Catfish appetizer was so delicious and could be a meal by itself. I had the special, grilled Mahi Mahi with a vidaloo sauce lump Crab meat topping. Out of this world. Definitely give this place a try. You won't regret it.

An oldie but a goodie. I don't live in the area anymore but it hasn't changed much since 2010 when I used to be a regular. I had Jimmy's Chicken Ranch sandwich today and it was absolutely amazing. Dip in the Shimmy sauce!

Nice place, early 80's music playing in the background. Reminds you of something familiar. Food was good and reasonable prices are a reason to visit. The man who served me was pleasant and Thanked me for coming in.

My wife and I had lunch here today. She had the Asian chicken wrap and I had the patty melt. They were out of corned beef for a Reuben but Ive no doubt it would have been delicious. Our food was PERFECT. My patty melt could have used a smidge of moisture from a sauce possibly but that would have only made it better. The kettle chips were somehow crispy and soft at the same time, seasoned well, and delectible. I just finished the left over Asian wrap and it was good even out of the microwave many hours later. Dont miss out on this one. Bar vibes but excellent food. Wait staff was friendly and professional.

For being "just a Sports Bar," the food was excellent and the staff were exceptional. I would rate the drinks as great, but I only had beer and it was pretty much as good as anywhere beer is sold. But, my buddy had a Bloody Mary and--along with the salad it's was topped with--was bacon! It wasn't cheap but definitely priced right for what you get

Excellent wait staff and drinks. It's a beautiful patio in an unlikely place. Feels like a tropical paradise. Also a spacious venue to watch the game. You won't be disappointed!

The shimmy shack is a great place to get quick bite to eat. I was greeted by their friendly wait staff. I ordered the Hot Shimmy burger. The patty is a beef and hot sausage blend. It was so good!
