The food is amazing and filled with flavor. The staff was very friendly and attentive to make sure that everyone at the table was enjoying their meals. I recommend going there for a delicious dinner, good music and that New Orleans charm.

The food was great. I had the jambalaya pasta. Others in my group had the red beans and rice and the veal parmesan. The food did take some time to arrive but was worth the wait. Our waitress was friendly and very funny. Overall a great visit!

First time visiting New Orleans and stopped at this restaurant. The customer service was excellent, granted it was not many customers. The gumbo was even better!!! I got the seafood gumbo and got a fair share of shrimp, sausage, and chicken.

This place was busy. The food tasted good. I got the chicken and sausage gumbo. My husband got the catfish and shrimp plate. My kids got the chicken tender kids meal. We were all very satisfied. We don't typically eat this type of food but it was a nice change. My daughter had some brown stuff floating in her sprite and they gave us a new one. The restrooms were dirty, no toilet paper and one out of order stall. Atmosphere was nice though.

We loved it! I had the seafood gumbo which was delicious. My husband had the jambalaya, which he enjoyed. The kids had the lost bread, which was a nice twist on french toast. My daughter didn't like her omelet.

I ate here twice during my short stay in New Orleans. The first meal was a simple salad, which was fine. The second was a soft-shelled crab and shrimp dish over angel hair pasta in a creamy sauce with mushrooms. I will die dreaming of this dish. It was hands down the best meal I've ever had in my life. In addition to the amazing food, all the employees were super nice, the service was good (even on the super busy nights that I went) and the atmosphere was pure New Orleans. Love it, and can't wait to go there again if I ever make it back to NOLA.

We ate at The Gumbo Pot yesterday during the French Quarter Festival and had an absolutely wonderful experience! Our waiter was so friendly and helpful and our food was superb! We had the boudin balls as an appetizer, the YaYa gumbo (which tasted so much like the Christmas gumbo my late mother used to fix that I almost cried) the Seafood platter that we split between two people and we were completely stuffed! Our other family members had the red beans and rice and a hamburger po boy which they also split and they were completely satisfied! We would definitely recommend The Gumbo Pot for anyone down in the Quarter. :-)

The food is a little overpriced, but tastes great. I have tried a lot of the restaurants in the quarter for some Gumbo, Jambalaya, and etouffee. I have ended up with a lot of disappointment. The food here tastes good and the service is fast. If you want a good meal meal of traditional New Orleans cuisine, this is definitely a good place.
