Our favorite neighborhood restaurant! Taqueria Corona continues to prepare and serve the freshest and best-tasting food of its kind in the city! It's the home of New Orleans' original and still the best-tasting fish taco, wonderful shrimp tacos and flautas, fresh and tasty salsa, and a flan that will make you want to always order dessert! As usual, we had a great experience tonight!
I don't think this is a well known place, but so worth going to! Food is great! The service was awesome.
The food is average, if not slightly above. The restaurant, on a 90-degree day, struggles to maintain a comfortable temperature. That and the occasional smoke from the kitchen. The service was friendly but one person during lunch rush resulted in slow service.

We were looking for a quick bite to eat after the Zoo - with three small kids in tow. This was the perfect place - large frozen margaritas for the parents, quick service, delicious food - nothing fancy and that's exactly what we were looking for. Nothing was too spicy (which is perfect when sometimes my kids find mint to be too spicy!) And everything was delicious 😋 we will be back!
One of the BEST! I've been a fan of this authentic Mexican taqueria since it first opened nearly 4 decades ago. The menu is simple but adequate; the food is delicious and consistently well-prepared; the service is prompt and courteous. It is a neighborhood favorite.
The only downside is a dearth of convenient parking. There is NO on-street parking on that block of Magazine. However, one can usually find a spot in the neighborhood, if you're willing to hike a block or so. The walk is well worth it!
Always my go-to when I need a good dinner last minute! Yhe pricing is great for the amount of food you get. And the employees are always friendly.
I’ve been going to this restaurant for over 30 years now and it’s been consistently delicious throughout the years. The menu has changed very little over the years with some additions. I’m a huge fan of the flavors, the fresh ingredients, tasty grill, ambiance, and the kind and welcoming staff.
My favorites:
Fish taco… the best
Chicken Taco
Shrimp Flauta
Taco salad
Cebolitas
Nothing fancy, but one of the best mexican food spots in New Orleans. Best fish tacos I've had outside of San Diego.
I gave 4 stars b/c the first question asked 'do you have proof of vaccine'. We were allowed to order 'to go'. We were allowed to stand at the hostess/register station just inside the door.
Food was freshly prepared within our view. Taco salad is simple and delicious. Lettuce to other salad ingredients is the best ever. The california burrito is unexpectedly huge 😳, and worth every bite. Cost is minimal, however chips and salsa must be ordered. Frozen margaritas were very good.
It's been the same great place for 20 plus years. Numero Uno is my go to order and it never disappoints. The flautas are the best.
Love this place! Especially love the brunch on the weekends. For $12 the carne asado tostada can't be beat. Plus delicious margaritas!
Food was good for me and my two friends. I got a shrimp quesadilla, my friends got some tacos. We all had a great time and the food tasted great as well. Portions arent bad either.
