Great music spot. Staff is always friendly and place stays clean. If you just want to relax, no hustle, and just listen to music, make this your spot. The way the musicians support each other here is worth mentioning! Always a place you can sit back and have a sigh of relief, decompress. If you get lucky and the food trucks show up, it's worth the try. Parking in the rear, well lit with video surveillance. I also saw the neighborhood security passing.
If you like live music and you like the blues this is the place. Talent filled the venue with Johnathon "Boogie" Long, Eric Johanson - on the drums, piano and bass world class as well. You can wonder around Bourbon in search of good music or you can just stop on in and find a perfect out of the way spot on Canal...
Fantastic venue! We saw The Currys there a couple of weeks ago, the sound was excellent. Plenty of chairs and small tables as well as space for standing. Nice outdoor area to the side. Clean toilets, huge bar with a great selection of everything and speedy service. A brilliant music venue, good sized stage and great sound.
Absolutely fantastic vibe and atmosphere! Visiting from Northern Canada, it was a privilege to see Jon Cleary live and what a great show! My first live music experience in NOLA and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend and I'll most definitely be back (hopefully next year during Jazz Fest!). 5 enthusiastic stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great small club atmosphere. It helped that the musician we saw is my favorite musician. Google says they have food... They do not. They sometimes have food trucks, but not always. They do allow you to bring food in.
Had a real good time here seeing one of my favorite New Orleans artists. The owner died recently and the venue is up for sale with an uncertain future. Currently open under the existing management, it lacks some of its previous charm and is cash only. Hopefully things will work out and another unique music spot will be saved from pandemic shutdown.
Intimate atmosphere and great venue. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening tonight at Chickie Wah Wah. Folk music was just what we were missing in our trip to NOLA.
One of my favorite venues in town! Small and intimate and always books great acts!
Very cool little bar up Canal Street from downtown.
Great place to catch some live music. We were lucky enough to see Jon Cleary, one of New Orlean’s famed piano players.
They have a good gastropub menu with a full bar.
Great place to see live, local (and some national), music in NO! Small and intimate setting. Bit of a price premium, but you get what you pay for.
