Wonderful place. Great server her reco of the Turtle Soup and baked oysters was spot on. The oysters were cooked perfectly a true taste of heaven on earth Try the Tuna it was perfect. Lots of complex flavors that work very well and i loved the chefs take on the classic dishes of New Orleans. We had the lemon ice box pie. Delicious. Small wine list but exceptionally good values and we loved our 2010 Paul Jaboulet Crozes Hermitage we will return on our next visit
Celebrated my 60th birthday here with family and friends. It was the highlight of an exciting weekend. They rolled out the red carpet. The owner and servers were excellent and the food was phenomenal and I tasted from everyone’s plate. I chose the trout dish and I ate everything except the plate. I have officially placed Annunciation on my bucket list to return on my next trip to New Orleans.
Cozy atmosphere for good modern Creole food. The service was great, and we enjoyed seafood gumbo (really good, dark roux), crab ravioli, crab dip and oyster appetizers. For our mains, we had lamb, duck and Gulf fish (black drum). It was all very good.
Two nights ago, I had dinner at Annunciation Restaurant. My gulf fish and shrimp were so tasty. Shot out to the bartender, Mike, who was my MVP! He kept my two drinks flowing. I have been pretty much tired of cheesecake for several years. However, I tried it this time because it was made on site. It was good. Had a very nice conversation with Dr William Wright, Sumpter SD Superintendent of South Carolina. Stay tuned! Just the beginning! Wait and see! #WhyGOMO
Amazing service, Patrick was amazing and was always around to get drinks and food. The food was an unbelievable mix of Cajun and modern. The atmosphere was great with a nice rustic style. I had the escargot which was in mushrooms. I also had the soft shell crab which was great. It came with pasta, and crawfish. The bill came out to about $42 per person 10/10 would recommend.
We enjoyed a really nice dinner at this restaurant on a Thursday night. Our waiter was friendly, professional and knowledgeable about the menu details. We enjoyed the Gumbo, which could easily be described as some of the best in town. The fried green tomatoes were tart and perfectly crisp and topped with shrimp. The boudin balls were also perfectly baked and flavorful. The mussels in a spicy tomato sauce were perfect! The wedge salad with blue cheese was freshly tasty and generous in proportion. For our entrees we had a seafood dish with crab and a crawfish sauce with pasta. The veal dish was tender and delicious. The other two fish dishes were both light, filled with yumminess and so good! For desert, we shared the bread pudding, chocolate pecan pie and the cheesecake. So So good!! We will return to try the other didhes! Highly recommend!!
Amazing venue right next to the convention center and great for organizing events with large groups. If you’re organizing an event you need to go here, they really cater to your needs and know exactly what you need to fit your budget.
We ordered the Chef's choice ravioli to start (stuffed with crab meat) and it set a fantastic tone for the rest of our meal. Everything from cocktails to dessert was made with great attention to detail, and the staff were phenomenal. If you are staying in the warehouse district, I highly recommend stopping by!
P.S. the bread (from Leidenheimer Bakery) is to die for.
This place was really nice and quaint, and the food was great also. I have attached pics of our food. I had the chicken marinaro (sp?) and my wife had the lamb chops with an amaretto sour. She was happy and that was great! My food was great and seasoned very well. The waitress and service were attentive and good! We also indulged in the desert. We had the cheesecake and it was heavenly (no pic, sorry).
From start to finish, this was a wonderful dining experience. The restaurant was responsive to emails, and we were greeted upon our arrival. Our waiter, Patrick, was probably one of the best I have had in a year. I have literally driven past this restaurant for years and said we should try it. We finally did on Saturday, and boy was the food and experience a 12 out of 10. We had the gumbo and special soft shell crab appetizer, both were perfect and well presented. The mains were the duck and fish Capri, again great items, well presented and very tasty. And for a final, the mango and raspberry sorbet were nice to end the evening, along with a massive banana foster bread pudding that was to die for. I have again point out service was great, Patrick was a wonderful guide and highly attentive. We will be back again.

The food was good, but did not blow us away. I had the Drum for my meal and it ended up being a bit overcooked. My husband got the Crawfish Etouffee and agreed with a similar thought: that it was good food, but not as excellent was what we'd hope for in what we paid for.
My sister ordered the lamb chop, and it was cooked to order, but there wasn't much meat on the bone.
Regardless, although the food was good, the ambiance and staff was incredibly attentive and kind.
We booked a reservation at Annunciation for our Anniversary celebration, and we were so pleased that we did. The service was top notch and the food was absolutely incredible! We had the Lamb Shanks and the Shrimp Ettoufee and it was some of the best food we’ve ever eaten! Not to mention the desert. Some of the best bread pudding and cheesecake we’ve had. Try this place, the chef is incredible. You won’t regret it!
