This was my first time eating there and I loved it. I had the Snapper with crab and Hollandaise sauce. Amazing! We also had the roasted Oysters with cheese melted on them. Delicious. I highly recommend this place if you find yourself in the French Quarter. It's now at the top of my list.
We had our prenuptial dinner here 13 years ago and just finally came back. The food is as delicious as ever and a friend I dined with said the Red Beans & Rice are the best she’s ever eaten anywhere! The staff is excellent and knowledgeable. New bar on the patio makes the courtyard smaller but the bartender is great. I know why the locals dine here, you should too!

We ate at the Creole Cookery last night. We had a late reservation & the manager was kind enough to call & ask if we wanted an earlier table (we did). We sat down and our server, Terrill, guided us through a fantastic meal. The drinks from the bar were tasty & NO strong. The chargrilled oysters were divine- so tasty; the salads were huge & our entrées arrived super fast. Around the table, we had 2 different pasta dishes, shrimp & grits, red beans & rice & crab cake app as dinner. Everyone was so delighted & pleased! Terrill was a doll the entire time- checking on us & making sure our dinner went smoothly. This place is a solid New Orleans choice, sure to delight!
Came here on a recommendation and expectations were high - honestly, very good. Super solid Creole food with good drinks. My friends and I came here and we sat and ate at the bar. It was strangely quiet throughout the restaurant but we still had a good time. Came here specifically for the Char grilled oysters and those didn’t disappoint. Everything else was just very solid, nothing show stopping and huge portions. Even the apps seemed like they were never ending (honestly very worth the price!!) had a great time!
Nice place to eat dinner. There was plenty of outdoor seating in the courtyard, but we opted to dine inside because it was a chilly night. The service was above average. The hostess and the waitress were both personable and engaging. The food was a 3.8 out of 5. I had the taste of New Orleans, which had a bit of variety. The Jambalaya was my least favorite because it had a smokey taste, but it was still fine. The best part of the meal was the desert. I had the bread pudding which was done will and had a nice presentation. I would visit again.
I had an early dinner reservation on a Thursday at 5pm. I got there a bit early and they were happy to seat me immediately. I sat in the lovely courtyard and was greeted as soon as I was at my table by a very attentive server. I asked about a signature drink and the explanation made me want to try it. I ordered the Taste of New Orleans which was delicious and then the Peanut Butter Torte for dessert. So yummy. It was a perfect start to my weekend in New Orleans. Would highly recommend this restaurant.
Foods and drinks were good, but not that impressive. I ordered chicken but they were hard to chew. Jambalaya tasted okay. Foods coming out fresh and hot. Get ready to spend 50$-60$ at least per person as they are white linen table cloth fine dining restaurant. They got decent Drinks.
This is my second time in New Orleans and my second time to this restaurant. It is a must go for some of the best food here. I had filet tips and shrimp with green beans, and the flavors were amazing! My wife had pecan encrusted red fish over a trio of roasted potatoes, and she thought it was amazing! Our friend had a catfish po-boy, and the shear size of it made us all gasp in shock just how much fish was piled on this sandwich!
Eggs Pontchartrain 9.2/10
I stopped in here the Sunday following a long weekend. I sat in the courtyard next to the fountain and ordered the Eggs Pontchartrain, basically and eggs Benedict but on crab cakes instead of English muffins and ham slices.
It was fantastic.
I wish the cakes had a bit more crab meat in them but the flavor and texture was great. Mixing it with the runny yolk from the eggs was amazing.
Great hangover cure.
The restaurant is very nice and romantic! We went for a late dinner on a Sunday night and the service was amazing! The portion sizes are large and very filling. The food is very rich and flavorful, definitely highlighting the authentic and popular Louisiana cuisine and culture. A great spot to eat at when traveling!
Everything from start to finish. Our waiter was replaced with the bartender and she was amazing. Every item we ordered tasted great. This is my 2nd time here. The banana fosters cheesecake best cheesecake ever must try
Honestly this is a thing for me, I hate wine serve in plastic, and this is my experience here, that threw me off, my wine was warm, he’ll no it’s already hot in NOLA, food was great but the crab cake was a bit too dry for me. Our serve was really kind. Apart from the warm drinks and crab cake, everything else was great.
