1st time trying the beignets. They're pretty good. The service was great. The place is small and esthetic. However, their coffee was horrible!! It did not even taste like coffee. It was very water down.

Better beignets than Cafe du Monde. Cashier told me I look like Nev from Catfish but I’m not even mad cause they’re 100% spot on, as they were with their recommendations. Beignets were so good they could tell me I look like Shrek every time and I’d still come back.

The beignets were delicious and the coffee was okay. The atmosphere was packed. You will wait!! But I think it was worth it. The breakfast sandwich was okay but the crawfish omelette and grits were excellent 👌

The Cafe Beignet, Royal street, is just a small niche that could easily be overlooked. It’s right next door to the Eighth District Police Station. They serve sandwiches, pastries and of course hot Beignets. The food is good and reasonable and there is lots of seating with the courtyard next door. On some evenings there is also live music. An enjoyable place to eat.

The long wait is worth it to sit outside in the cute shaded courtyard. The food is decent, but the beignets are obviously the star.

If you know, you know. This is a must-stop location anytime I'm in NOLA. The beignets are incredible dense. The sugar is never wanting. And the line moves faster than you think.

First stop for food was breakfast beignets and they did not disappoint. Food cooked fresh to order, real eggs and real grits. Beignets were soft, pillowy, sweet (but not too sweet), fried perfectly (not greasy) and served with right amount of powdered sugar. Smaller dine In restaurant so it can get cramped, better to sit outdoors.

Visiting NOLA from New York, I heard about beignets and kind of assumed they'd be just funnel cakes. We went to Cafe du Monde on the first day and the beignets we had were to me, were basically funnel cakes. I left there feeling underwhelmed. On the last day of our trip we stopped in here to try theirs and it was a whole different experience. They were hot, and fluffy yet dense, and not at all like funnel cakes. They were absolutely delicious. The Cafe au laite with chicory root was also delicious here too, and also way better than the coffee at Cafe du Monde (which tasted like standard dinner coffee). Highly recommend! Also, the staff at this location was very friendly, and they have a nice courtyard, too. 🥰

Came in on our way across the country on the i10. Stopped first at the city bark with my son's service dog. Next stop cafe beignets. The friendly dog patio and the staff seemed to be in love with our dog. I ordered the gumbo and my son ordered the jambalaya. Both ordered chicory coffee and 3 beignets. The food was great, just the right portion size. Beignets were hot and fluffy pillows of yummyness. The coffee for me was perfect, my son said "it's good I like it" but didn't drink more than a sip, but again he is 14 and a member of the Starbucks generation. Thank you for making our very long trip a bit more memorable. My son and my first time in NOLA, but I hope it won't be our last.

Breakfast ...love the patio. I am not a chocolate fan but the beignet was great! The star was the breakfast sandwich though. Their bacon in the croissant tastes like smoked ham. Omg it was so so so good. It took me to a smoking pit with a fresh hog in my mind. Their coffee sucks though. Pass on that. I can drink most coffee but we both tossed ours-- ugh
