I had the absolute pleasure of being served by the extraordinary bartender, Bret, and I can't help but sing his praises. From the moment we sat down, Bret's warm welcome set the tone for the entire evening. His enthusiasm for his craft and genuine interest in his patrons was palpable. Not only did Bret mix and serve impeccable cocktails, but he also shared a wealth of knowledge about the local area, suggesting hidden gems and must-see spots that truly enriched our experience. His deep understanding of the history behind each drink he crafted added a fascinating layer to the evening, turning it into an unforgettable journey through flavors and stories. Bret's passion for his profession and the genuine care he showed towards us made our time at the bar feel like a cherished memory in the making. It's rare to come across a bartender who can create such a perfect blend of expertise, warmth, and charm. If you're lucky enough to find yourself in Bret's capable hands, consider yourself in for an exceptional treat. He truly elevated our evening and left an indelible mark on our hearts. If I can give it 10 stars I would. My wife & I stumbled across this place just waiting for our spot at the restaurant across the street. I turned around and notice the menu on the wall (outside) and beautiful, lit up bottles displayed around the restaurant ... and AC!. Then shortly before opening, the chef came out to open up and invited us in. I overheard him tell the gentleman in front of us "performing" so I had to ask. He said it's a Burlesque Brunch called Eggs and Legs! I was sold. We were there for nearly three hours! Jaime was a great waitress. The food and drinks were delicious. And yes, the entertainment - she was stunning, funny & amazing. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip. I recommend it for sure!

We stumbled upon 3rd Block while looking for SoBou, which, I think, is a rebranding of the spot? The design of the place was perfect for a date, we visited in daytime but I think it looks even more intimate and contemporary in nighttime. Cocktails were great and they have a “creation of the day”, which changes daily! This place serves a real gumbo, full of flavor and thickness, yum! Also highly recommend seared scallops and Brussels sprouts, those are divine. Our servers Chris approached the menu introduction with a lot of detail, it’s great to see someone who really cares for the spot and menu it presents. We’re happy!
