Great restaurant in the warehouse district. Ordered the smoked pork rib, boucherie plate, and fried alligator. Everything was delicious. Enjoyed the smokiness of the pork rib, the variety of flavors on the plate, and the chili garlic mayonnaise. Service was efficient and seating (with reservation) was immediate. I heartily endorse this restaurant.

Stumbled into this little gem while trying to find a restaurant that wasnt crazy bananas before the George Straight concert. We ordered a bit of everything ... the fried chicken livers, ribs, short rib, green salad, gumbo and mac n cheese we loved every bit of it. Service had some hiccups but nothing that could not be easily corrected

The rare time I review a place after one visit because I'm not sure when I'll be back in town. Service at the bar was good and the food was fantastic. If you like oysters, definitely get the " Wood Fired oysters with chili garlic butter". I never order oysters but did on recommendation and they were fantastic. Next I tried the rabbit & dumplings. It was amazing - if I make it back ill have a hard time not getting it again. For drinks I tried the "nutty by nature", which was excellent, and an old fashioned.

INCREDIBLE southern food! The rabbit and dumplings are classic comfort food with a twist. The namesake cochon is out of this world! Cocktails were great as well. My only knock was we waited quite a bit for our table even though we were very much on time for our reservation. The service at the table well made up for it.

We stopped in to Cochon Restaurant for lunch and though the restaurant was full they were kind enough to seat us at the kitchen view. This turned out to be a blessing as we were able to see a lot of the great dishes being prepared. We found that the food was very good with a large and varied menu. Even though the place is large and busy it did not take long to be served.

Read lots of great things about this place prior to coming to New Orleans, and really wanted to come eat here. Was excited that it was only a couple blocks from my hotel, and decided to just try my luck without a reservation. Ended up sitting at the bar with a couple of friends, which turned out to be an amazing experience. The service was exceptional, and the food was fantastic. I had the Fried Alligator, the Wood Fired Oysters, and the Peach Crisp; and would highly recommend all of it. I also really enjoyed the Golden Stout that I got to drink. If you're in New Orleans, this restaurant should definitely be on your list of must eat at places.

Had an absolutely incredible meal here a year ago. Cracklins, beautiful soft dinner rolls, Shrimp and devilled egg Gumbo, Crawfish Pie all incredible. Loved the broiled Oysters in a really clever tray, made it easy to get all the delicious juices. Can't wait to return soon

First meal in New Orleans and we could not have asked for a better experience. From the moment we walked in, we were totally impressed with the ambiance and size of Cochon. There's two main dining areas with additional space upstairs and outside on the patio. With such a large space, Cochon remains well staffed and multiple servers were always checking on us to make sure we were well attended. The food was absolutely top notch, with a perfect balance for every dish. We started with the fried gator bites - perfectly fried and seasoned with a bright citric sauce to compliment it. This and the complimentary bread (so fluffy) really got my appetite going. For mains, we had the redfish and the pork neck (with trumpet mushrooms). The pork neck was extremely tender and cooked flawlessly, with a lovely sauce on top to provide acidity. All in all the meal was amazing and unforgettable, with great service to compliment it. I'd absolutely recommend a visit for a date, occasion, or night out.

Excellent service and the best tasting food! We started with the fried gator and shishito peppers. I strongly recommend the fried gator! For dinner, we had the swordfish and beef short ribs. Incredible flavors in all the food. I strongly recommend both the restaurant and the butcher next door for a more casual meal

Excellent experience table started with fresh bread and amazing butter, service was super quick and very friendly. Our food came out blazing fast and was cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend anyone visiting New Orleans to try this place out. Additionally I feel that this restaurant has a down home soothing atmosphere and is a very good value!

Had lunch at Cochon Restaurant this week. I felt the menu is lean. There are very few items here without pork. Red fish is one of them. First time ever eating red fish. Then I finished off with a pineapple upside down cake with vanilla ice cream. Very tasty!
