It's a noisy place, and I like that. Always a lot of people. The food is good, the staff is attentive, and I like the atmosphere.
Fantasy Restaurant. Tony D's is my favorite restaurant. Of all time. Ever. Anywhere.
Try the calamari appetizer, it's not to be missed. Italian done right in ways that have ruined many a person on Olive Garden for life. As it should be.
Service and ambiance are also top notch...but it's the calamari that would have me buying a plane ticket from Texas to CT just to go to Tony D's. Definately one of the top 10 things I have ever eaten.
Great!. The food is great, the atmosphere is perfect and fun, and the owner himself is a friendly man who knows how to keep his customer coming back for more. I have gone to Tony D's several times, but I went for my birthday and when he found out it was my birthday he gave our table a bottle of wine for free after spending 10 minutes talking to us. I am always too full to eat by the my main course comes, but it tastes great the next day also!

Never a disappointment!. Tony D's has a bartender that makes THE BEST dirty martini in the state of CT. I don't know what he does, because there isn't much to a dirty martini, but they are always out-of-this-world good!
The service is always spot on and consistent. Friendly staff that won't judge you if you come in on a Friday night in jeans, and prompt to boot. We stopped in for cocktails after seeing Spam-a-Lot at the Garde, and the place was mobbed so we sat right at the bar. The poor bartender was running his tail off, but he STILL made time to give us a huge smile and make us feel welcome.
THE ANTIPASTA salad...is a must have if you like antipasta. Beautiful arrangement, and loaded with goodies, not just lettuce filler. In fact, there is barely any lettuce at ALL. And the eggplant on it... **swoon**.
I have yet to have a poor meal there, the main dishes are delectable and the pasta is perfect. The desserts are out of this world good. Even the mini flatbread style personal pizzas are great. There is one with ricotta and peaches, slightly sweet and tangy yet savory at the same time. Also, have no fear about ordering seafood here if you're like me and have had some extremely bad experiences ordering seafood. I always make a point to get the seafood here because it is always the best.
I am not a big fan of italian, but this place is definitely one of my top restaurants in the state!!! A wonderful place for birthdays, anniversaries, etc...and a great stop after a show at the Garde :)
Best eggplant Parm of my life. I still dream of this eggplant parm. I ate here last November while visiting the USCG and am actually considering another 10 hour drive to eat at Tony's again.

Made reservations and were seated right away. All the staff was really nice and attentive. They give you bread and a garlic olive spread which was delicious because the subtle olive flavor blends in perfectly with the garlic. I got the Cajun shrimp which were juicy and well seasoned. It comes with four jumbo shrimp and then there's like a palm sized portion of a soft breading under. I'm not sure what it's called but it was also really good and the roasted peppers complimented the whole dish so well. My date got the lollipop lamb chops (medium) and they were so juicy and perfect, we literally couldn't have asked for better. Not pictured are the garlic mashed potatoes we got as a side and they were so creamy and delicious.
I have to say, the showstopper was the peanut butter creme brulee. The top layer was burnt just right and thin and it was really creamy and so flavorful that you can't stop eating it but you also never want it to end. It's literally the best creme brulee I've ever had and I went to a tech high school for culinary so that's saying something.
The atmosphere was nice and tranquil and the bathroom was also well decorated and clean. 10/10 would highly recommend if you want to spend a good bit of money for a great night out.
Conveniently located across the street from The Garde Arts Center, dining here is an event in itself. A great place to celebrate a special occasion or grab dinner before the show. A friendly and accommodating staff makes the food, including hand made pasta taste more delicious. Satisfied and looking forward to returning.
Amazing service from start to finish. The drink specials were fantastic. Chicken parm to die for. The zuppa was out of this world. Our waitress took amazing care of us even during a slammed evening. We will be back and tell others to come to this Italian treasure.
The food was amazing. The bread they serve you while waiting on appetizers was really good. Great selection of wines.
Appetizers we had scallops and the lamb chops. Meals were Shrimp scampi and veal.
They serve a nice salad before your meal.

Tony D's is a newer restaurant to us recommended by a friend who we lost recently. It was his favorite restaurant and quickly became one of ours. The food is always amazing but so is the staff. Just a consistently great overall experience when dining here. The calamari is the best I have ever had as well and I highly recommend it!
On a mini vacation with the family, saw the reviews and wanted to try the place out for myself. If you love Italian food this is the place for you! The food was delicious! They had a large selection of drinks.The waiter was so kind and helpful! Dont let their outward appearance fool you, the inside is gorgeous. If your visiting give it a try.
We were treating friends to dinner so we could talk and catch up, since we hadn't seen them in a very long time. I don't usually take time to write reviews, but I was very very pleased that we were allowed to sit and sip on drinks and talk with our guests and did not feel rushed to leave. There were plenty of other available tables so I didn't feel we were being rude. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was relaxing and pleasant. The service was very attentive. I enjoyed our dining here.
