As a Vandy student, having a mom and pop spot where we can go and just chill… this is that place. I am big on taco Tuesday, but we came back the next day also. It’s just great comfort food. We ordered hard tacos and buffalo wings (half wet and dry rub). When we returned the next day, we added another order of wings but preferred the dry rub exclusively.
Come ready to write down your order on the order forms. ✍️
Great place to chat and chew and the service is very fast and efficient. I also really appreciate the bussers who come around and collect the food trays or empty plates. Again this type of attentiveness makes this place feel like home and excellent for gathering together as a community. Thank you to all the diligent hard working hands behind the scenes as well! This is a must lace to visit whenever I am in Nash!

I liked the salsa bar but the tacos were lacking much flavor. I paid extra for tomatoes on my taco and I should’ve just got it from the taco bar. I tried the chicken enchilada that barely had any chicken in it, and it’s like it was melted into my plate. It’s closed on Sunday, which is strange.

Really good food but the street tacos are small - as street tacos should be. So make sure you plan ahead. If you normally eat 4 tacos, you may want to order an extra just in case. And the best part is the salsa bar!

The atmosphere was great, the patio was super nice to sit on. Our food came super quick and all the employees were very kind and made you feel at home. All in all great experience.

You can’t visit Nashville without hitting this gem. It is the best Tex mex on the earth! Been a part of Vanderbilt culture since the early 80s and is still going strong! Great party vibe or just hang out before or after tailgating the Vandy football or baseball game. The deck is incredible and the way you fill out your order, pay, and pickup is as efficient as it gets. I can’t visit Nashville without coming here and meeting my Nashville friends for life. You won’t be disappointed. A bucket of cold beers, chips, cheese—doesn’t get better than that!!!

Overall thought: Go here! You won't regret it.
I recently dined at this restaurant, and it was a delightful experience. The food was absolutely delicious (the pork taco was the best), and I couldn't get enough of it. Writing down orders helped with the party of 5 I had. The staff was straight forward, fast, and accommodating, which made the visit even more enjoyable. The only downside was the parking situation. The lot adjacent to Panera isn't theirs, so you might need to look elsewhere. Fortunately, I found street parking for $5, which covered me for 3 hours. Don't let the parking deter you, though – the great AFFORDABLE food and service are well worth it!

Don't let the name fool you... This is a Nashville original and a staple for Vandy students for decades. The food is fantastic and is ready almost immediately after you order. Don't miss the queso!
No parking here. You'll need to park on a nearby street, and be aware that parking is no longer free. You'll need to scan a QR code and pay with your phone or risk a $70 parking violation ticket

Good & Filling Food. Great service. We particularly enjoyed the vibe on the outdoor Deck, where there was some shade even on a hot day. No surprise that it is popular with Vanderbilt students because it is an easy walk for them from their housing & dorms, and it doesn't cost an arm & a leg to get a good meal.

Cool spot worth hitting if you’re in the area. Sauces are fresh but not super flavorful. Beans, meat, cheese are all appropriate and classic Tex Mex. Tortillas and the vibe are what make this place better than most local options.

SAT has always been convenient when I'm at the Vandy clinic, and the food never disappoints. Easy ordering using provided pencils and paper - get as much or as little as you want! Super speedy. Friendly, laid back dining inside or out. If you've never been here, make it happen!
