I always love this place! The food is always great and the staff is always amazing. You can't ask for better food. And the shrimp sauce is wonderful too you should bottle that and sell it :).

4/2022, I checked out this locally popular Japanese take out place and I am pleasantly surprised! I know Japanese food well and certainly didn’t expect too much from a restaurant in a small TN town.
So I ordered the Hibachi chicken, see pic. The size is big (Huge actually) lots of chicken, mushrooms and carrots. Rice is also included. The sauce came separately and I like that. I only needed half of it and really enjoyed my dinner. Be aware that the line during peak time is very long.. I was told.
Went back to try the Teriyaki chicken today.. sweeter this time. But wonder why the same source?
One of my favorite places in town. I've been eating at this place since it opened so many years ago it seems. The food is always cooked to perfection and everything is so tasty. My go-to meal is the hibachi chicken and shrimp. It never fails to be delicious. Each meal comes with Broccoli, Carrots and mushrooms as well as one container of sauce. Usually one sauce container will do it for me but sometimes I get a little wild and get extra 🤪.
Extremely friendly employees. Quickest hibachi grill around. Great hot food. Price is a little steep, but amount and quality is most certainly sufficient. Drive through does stay busy so you might wait a few minutes in line but food is always fresh. Also great place to dine in for lunch and have food leftover for dinner! Akita is one of my favorites!
Seriously you have to eat here the best food and best service ever. I really enjoy eating here. Everything is on point. The sweet tea is perfect. The food taste so good. There employees are great and very kind. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Whoever heard of a drive-thru hibachi place. This place was great. The steak was the best of any steak I've ever had at any one of these type of places. We did the drive-thru and it was quicker than most hamburger places. Staff was great. We bought one meal and shared it between us and it was plenty. I highly recommend this place
Never had this kind of food before. It was recommended by a co worker. It's awesome. I'm picky about my food. I usaully get the meal. AWESOME!!
Akita Express is the bomb.com!! So much flavor in ever bite. Literally my mouth is watering while typing this just cause I'm thinking of their food! Well worth it in my opinion. The prices are pretty normal for this style of cuisine, but I swear they figured out how to make more fit. I can never eat it all in one sitting. Hopes this review helps anyone that was curious about Akita. Stop wondering and go try em!
