South+pine American Eatery

I had the Peri Peri chicken wrap; it was delicious! Tangy, crunchy, and very satisfying. It is not a lot of food; they serve fries with it to fill you up. Prices are high while food, service, and atmosphere are all very nice. We made a reservation for Sunday brunch for 7 people, and they ask for a $175 cancellation fee for no-shows. Automatic gratuity of 20% for parties of 7+, which was fine. It was a great place to hang out with friends for a couple of hours for brunch. The bill worked out to about $30 per person.

Everything is super professional. I stopped in here for some dinner before a show at MPAC which is literally right next door which is so convenient . I was blown away with the food , it is top quality ingredients in everything and all ingredients are sourced fresh and local. Chicken is so juicy and crispy. Steaks were tender and cooked perfect. Service was friendly and attentive.

Loved everything about South & Pine. Originally reserved outdoor patio but was pleasantly surprised to be given option to sit indoors. It was just nice to be asked and given the option because there was availability. Food was amazing, so so fresh and robust in flavor, we tried all of the seasonal options and no regrets!! The service was top notch everyone including owner were so attentive, informative on menu and super inviting! Lastly the BYOB option is bonus!!! It was our first time dining at this establishment but it will not be the last. A new favorite and we will be bringing more friends and family.

Went here for a birthday dinner and it did not disappoint. I had the “Fried Chix 2.0” which is chicken and waffles and my wife had the scallops. My chicken had a delicious cornflake crust. Their menu changes seasonally and the dishes are creative. The owner was present and making sure everything was humming along on a Saturday evening. The owner was also featured on TV on Bobby Flay’s show and a few others. The restaurant is very close to the Morristown Performing Arts Center (MPAC).

Korean salmon was perfectly cooked and delicious. Nice balance of flavors and textures with the pickled cucumber and onions. Fried rice had a nice bite to it. Also, the whole dish is gluten-free! Caramel latte was pretty terrible, though. Bitter/ burnt. And took a long time to come out. Outdoor seating was nice. Came for lunch and got sat right away with no reservation.

BYOB Quick stop for dinner. I went for the chicken and waffles, southern classic with an upscale twist. The chicken was so juicy and tender with a great tasting outside cornflake crust. The waffle had a nice crust with a fluffy and light inside. Food was great, but a bit on the expensive side. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
