Carreta Vieja

We just had the best time at Carreta Vieja!!! We were a party of 7 that came in at the same time as several other tables. The owner and his sister were so kind and so accommodating. Their hospitality made our night!! We had family in from WI and CA and the kids wanted Mexican. The food was great, but the hospitality was top notch!!! We will definitely be back ♥️

We moved from Houston, Texas 4 months ago and have had the hardest time finding good Mexican food. We live in Castle Rock work in Denver but came out to stay for my birthday at the Arrowhead B&B. Came to the grocery station and saw this place, so thankful we came in. They are the real deal! Finally real Mexican food in Colorado and so good!! We will gladly drive 45 minutes one day the next time we want some, beats wasting our money and time anywhere near us.

I have driven by this place so many times without ever giving it a chance. My brother was in town and wanted authentic Mexican. After looking at the reviews, I though it worth the chance. Boy am I glad I did. Service was outstanding. Our waitress was very attentive and food delivered promptly. I ordered the chimi combo plate. Very tasty and well prepared. My brother ordered a combo plate and was likewise pleased. Food tasted fresh and very well seasoned. Margarita was good and well mixed. The decor may not be restaurant chain worthy, but somehow that added to the ambiance. Everything including restrooms were very clean. In my option, this speaks of a family run business that cares about what they do. I would recommend you consider abandoning the Denver chains, and give this place a try. You might, like me, find a new favorite!

The best Mexican food we've had in the Denver metro! We moved in from Vegas a few years ago and have been disappointed by the quality of what the locals recommended for good Mexican food. This restaurant is the real deal, and is just as good as Lindo Michoacan, our favorite Mexican restaurant in Vegas. The refritas are house-made from white beans, and the chicken mole was to die for. Excellent flavors, good portions, and a fair price. We'll be going back for sure!

Been living in the Conifer area for 25 years and usually love this restaurant and atmosphere. Authentic Mexican food. But, yesterday my wife and I made a reservation and headed out to eat. When we arrived at the restaurant there was a ten person party in the middle of the restaurant. No masks. Just drunken behavior. Not our place. We went to Los Garcias and had a safe meal. Covid is real folks. Hoping this establishment cares about all its customers. Show it.
