We had great food here and the service was exceptional and the views are beautiful. I am not Mexican, so I can’t say much about all the other bad reviews on the Mexican food. It is definitely better than Casa Bonita. We had the appetizer plate as an entrée, but make sure to tell them to bring it out as an appetizer if you want it early :-) we also had the burrito. They were both nice. We especially appreciated two helpings of warm chips with salsa before our meal was ready. We just had water but they were nice to bring out no ice and lemons with all of our waters. We walked around and saw lots of video games and a merchandise place, and gorgeous murals near the restrooms :-)

Mexican lunch in a well known and popular restaurant. Chips and salsa was good and Queso was especially good. Been around for many years. Food was very tasty and fish tacos with homemade coleslaw was very flavorful although hard to hold the soft corn tortillas. Service was outstanding and we went at an off time so not busy. I hear during lunch and dinner it is very busy.
Plan on eating here again if in the area.

Went here on a recommendation, but apparently it's been a few too many years since they'd been here. Not very good Mexican food in my opinion. Seems like they put the meat in a crock pot all day with not much seasoning. But it was close to red rocks and it was not crowded for lunch.

Not good. Great space, great town. It is a shame that places like this take advantage of the huge number of non-repeat customers that flow through. The chips are stale and almost certainly not made in house. The salsa is barely a step beyond tomato sauce. The margarita mix is terrible. How do you screw up lime juice, water and sugar?!

Incredible fish tacos and well balanced margaritas right by the red rocks. It is a must stop if you're near. Delicious.

Good salsa and chips but main dish was awful! This used to be a great place to eat but it has worn out it's time. Coffee was really awful! Tasted like it had been on a burner all day! Food was cold, dry and bland- prices have went up
The only good thing is the scenic mountains around the place.

We should have read the reviews before we went. We weren't happy with the food nor the service. Salsa was more like a spaghetti sauce, taco salad was drenched in dressing, everything else (at $16-18/plate) was average at best. Saturday night and a mostly empty restaurant: the service should have been better, but we waited forever to be greeted and given drinks.

This had been around for a long time and it used to be very good Mexican food but now is just mediocre at best..the margaritas are very small for the price and the green chili is not at all spicy .. the portions were smaller that i remember. I wish they had different levels of heat for the green chili. Love the patio and were there primarily to support the band playing there.
