Yoyo Donuts

All the donuts are great but I recommend the key lime, which provides a nice tangy contrast to the other sweet donuts. There was a line when I went but it moved quickly. The variety is overwhelming so looking at the picture menu on the website and coming into the store with a list is the most efficient way to go.

First visit to Yo Yo and I was underwhelmed. The red velvet donut was tough with fluffy, pleasant frosting. I ate 1/3 of coffee bomb but had to stop as the icing and filling were way too sweet. Then 1/3 of vanilla raised, I had another interrupted feast. Again, icing was overwhelmingly sweet. Cub has equivalent if not better options…and that is no laughing matter. I worship donuts. Yo Yo would do better to adopt more nuanced flavors, like Bogarts perhaps?

This place is wonderful, my boyfriend was able to pick up a couple donuts this morning at 7 am. Love this place and how it’s nut free (I’m severely allergic) and they’re friendly people. Normally they have a lot of selections but due to it being a weekend and a holiday they sold out early which is to be expected. My boyfriend made sure to go pretty much right after they opened. For those who complained about it being sold out or didn’t have an option on the website, you can also preorder the donuts on the website!! Super convenient if you want to make sure you can get your donuts. They are hard workers and they make everything on site including the ice cream.

The donuts were disappointingly dense and stale-tasting. I felt like the only donut out of the six that we got that was solid at best was the pumpkin chai. The pumpkin filling and the chai icing actually tasted true to its name. The dense donut was somewhat “masked” by the filling and the icing. Otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend this place.
