Amazing! Just went in for happy hour. I highly recommend the pickled plate WITH the cheese plate. Paired perfect with a glass of red wine. And the staff is so sweet and friendly! Definitely my favorite new place in Mpls.
Colorful, local flavors with a rustic touch! The Bibimbap is by far my favorite dish, with the BLT biscuit as a close second. I usually ask for suggestions on pourovers and the baristas always nail it. Perfect place for a breakfast or lunch date, casual snack, or happy hour stop!
Pro tip: the trail cookies are a must... they are a buttery, seed-packed treat.
This cafe has undoubtedly struck the right chord with their inviting ambiance, tasty coffee, and a team of friendly baristas. Their spacious setting is perfect for both social gatherings and head down working time. Morning hours might get really crowded, but that’s great for the business. Their cup of cortado and a chocolate pistachio croissant were excellent. I will be coming back!
This place became an instant fixture of the neighborhood. It has delicious coffee, friendly service, and a warm interior that is great for "WFH." Prices are average for a nice coffee spot, so ~$5 for a latte. The only con is that, despite tons of space, it can fill up around 10 or 11, Fridays especially.
Great atmosphere and even better coffee. Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend coming here for good coffee and excellent combinations. Street parking was fairly easy to find.
Found this place just surfing Google Maps. Decided to stop by to do some studying and work. I think it’s one of my favorite coffee shops in the twin cities now. Great interior design and vibes. Enjoyed the North Shore Latte I got (part of the winter menu, had brown sugar syrup and cardamom bitters). Would recommend coming here! There’s also a pastry bakery right next door which is convenient if you’d like to get a pastry there and coffee here. From some of the photos online, I thought it was going to be smaller but it was bigger than I expected and had plenty of seating and tables for studying. Music is pleasant and a tad quieter than some shops which I prefer.
NC has a beautifully crafted, creamy, lightly roasted cappuccino. Yum. They used to share this space with the Angry Catfish (which is now in a separate building down the) and that was a cool combo = Surly bikes and good coffee. So all that space is now a big roomy coffee shop with a few reminders of the bike shop. Bygones. So a really good place to sit and have a coffee. And a very tasty coffee indeed. Parking is on the street. Great place.
Stepping into this coffee shop you might think you were in Ely, MN. The décor is Boundary Waters outdoors backwoods. Great place to escape the realities of city living for a while. Lots of seating, including some leather chairs and a couch. The place is big but quiet enough for conversation without eavesdropping by your neighbor. The breve cappuccino was very good and served in proper ceramic cup. There were several pastry options, as well as other food available. Wear your flannel shirt and project living in the north woods.
I did not have food, just coffee. Service was fast and friendly. Love the atmosphere and location. I've coffee was solid, but a bit pricey.
The team at Northern Coffeeworks have really nailed it. The atmosphere is warm and cozy (but also spacious), the drinks are stellar, and all the staff are super kind. The only negative is that it is almost impossible to get a space to work in the morning (seems like lots of people claim this as their work from home space). As someone who lives in the neighborhood, it’s sucks for me… but is only a plus for their business, so that’s great for them. Speaks to how much people love it here!
It is very open, inviting place...a first timer! I forgot the name of my COLD BREW -- has maple, oat milk in it...16oz for $5.40, reasonable price. They also sell merchandise and coffee beans. I'll definitely come back!!
Support more local coffee shops vs. the big names. I say this as the coffee is better tasting, aromatic, and helping the business & community. I ordered the Sweet Heat Mocha which is a mocha with honey and cayenne pepper, plus oat milk. It appeals to the senses on the tongue. Not a fan of spicy, try the smoked salt mocha!
