As a first-time customer who ordered takeout, I tried the vegan helter skelter, biscuits & gravy, kimchi tofu sandwich, brownie, cinnamon roll, and scone. My favorite was the biscuits and gravy. I had high expectations for the helter skelter, but it arrived cold, and the portion size seemed smaller than what other customers have described. Additionally, the bread for the kimchi tofu sandwich tasted like it had just come out of the freezer. While the brownie and cinnamon roll were good, the scone was nearly as hard as a rock, and it felt like I was eating sand. Overall, it wasn't bad for the price, but I expected better. Perhaps it was just an off day.
I am not even a vegetarian but their gyro (with seitan) was delicious. The vibe is authentic, expressive, no nonsense which I loved. I also love that they feature arts created by local children. This is a place I would take my old friend from out of town to get a taste of Minneapolis.
Staff was very friendly. Food was amazing. Best biscuits and gravy I've ever had.
I ordered the biscuit breakfast and added mushroom gravy. It came out around $13. Which was a great deal. Tons of food and it was all amazing.
Only draw back for me was the music was very loud. But they got a vibe going and I think a lot of people would enjoy it.
Will definitely be back
Awesome vegan options. Vegetarian options gluten free you name it. Fantastic coffee. Nice staff. Place is a vibe. Is also cash only. Important detail.
A nice hole in the wall location with reasonable prices and locally made kombucha! With a decent amount of vegetarian options.
a great spot for late night vegan bites. I've always found their food to be a bit salty overall. the BBQ tofu bun was yummy, would love if the tofu was marinated in the sauce. ive had the vegan Bahn mi, Reuben, and the tofu bun and I would eat it all again! the chips and salsa was too salty for me. atmosphere is low key, full of energy. the cupcake was yummy but dense.
Food is 10/10- so good. Love the fact that they have so many vegan options - as someone that can't have egg, I usually have trouble finding options on breakfast menus- but they make all their main breakfast foods both normally & vegan.
I had the vegan rancheros, and they were delicious! If you've never had tofu before don't shy away from it- you wouldn't even notice it's not egg.
Now I gave the place 4 stars instead of 5 simply because the vibe wasn't for me- it's very dingy, dirty bar vibe- loud music. When we come back I'll probably get takeout :)
Everyone that worked there was very friendly.
No parking, so you do have to pay for street parking. Also the food was quite cheap!
Super good food and so so may vegan/veg options. I got the Seitan Philly with vegan cheese. It was really good. Perfect portion and very reasonable prices. My friend got the falafel wrap which was also good. Lots of drink options, as well as a nice bakery case up front. Chill grunge vibe inside. Definitely a great place to come to chill out and eat some good vegan goodness.
Classic diner food and vibes but vegetarian and vegan-ified. Got the vegan helter skelter with rye toast and tried the biscuits and gravy. I am obsessed with the gravy on the biscuits! Helter skelter was simple but had fresh veggies. This place is cash only so make sure you bring cash. You write your order on a slip and hand it to them to pay.
New hours 10am to midnight every day!!
Lobby reopened, the board games are gone, but the lobby looks great.
Keep it up guys! 😉🫡
Best plant based dining around the twin cities, prices are reasonable compared to pretty much anywhere else you might go, if you haven't been, it's worth the trip.
I reccomend the Philly, biscuits, breakfast sandwich, quasedia, or litteraly any of the deserts!
There isn't a bad thing on the menu.
