A small home town feel, kind and welcoming workers, and most importantly the best food for reasonable prices!! I highly recommend trying this place! I don’t enjoy quiche but the ham and Swiss one from here is to die for!
Cute little place. Has fresh bread, pastries, and desserts. The coffee is good too. It’s a nice place to go if you have a big group. Warning: what may look like a yummy cinnamon roll, note that it has a TON of raisins in it.
OMG! You have to hurry up to this place! The new baker create the mini delicious pie! First in the picture is sweet potato pie 🥧 decorate with marshmallows on top 😩🤤😍 second pie is apple! (Sorry I didn’t take pictures of the whole sweet potato pie) 😬
OH MY GOD!!!!!! My tastebuds have died and gone to literal food heaven. I've spent the last 4 weeks travelling around a decent portion of the country for work, and I am not exaggerating when I say this is seriously some of the BEST freaking food I have EVER had. Not to mention the A1 service we received from the girl with the blue hair, she gave us samples when we couldn't decide. . We were scratching our heads trying to figure out how this place doesn't have a line out the door and around the street. I have to say, I have never been so inspired to travel northern Europe if anything just to try where this incredible food came from.
If you're staying in Minneapolis you HAVE to eat here for at least 1 meal, and take some food with you to go. I took about $50 worth of food with me it was so good.
We love it here at turtle bread! Big open space with lots of windows and tables to choose from, the tables are so big you don't mind sharing it with others.
Their bakery items are amazing and they have a fine selection with rotating items on different days. I love their cake pops!
The chocolate bread that they only made on weekends (fri-sun) are a MUST HAVE
Huevos Rancheros is my favourite breakfast item on the menu
My partner loved the Turtle Omlette
& the potatoes as a side to both meals is delicious!
Not the biggest fan of the salmon benedict benedict I wouldnt recommend....
the service…. Welll lol let’s just say The current staff might have some sort of social anxiety maybe Because all of the people constantly coming in and out but they also seem to be and were very standoffish/unapproachable although they all appear to be mostly teenagers and young adults so I get it but at one point one of them starting cleaning up around our table moving chairs from our table while we were eating as if we weren’t there.. dare I say inappropriate other than that the FOOD never misses in my opinion is what is keeping this place open been eating here since I was 10 and I am now 23 I suggest taking food to go but check your order before leaving because they often are extremely busy
Sandwiches, soups, pastries, pies, quiche — they're all good. The coffee is fine too; not their standout, but a welcome addition with your food. All the basic espresso drinks available.
A nice thing for a family meal is that you can take home bread and pizza dough, plus some premade soups and salads from the fridge.
Staple of the neighborhood. Great selection of breads, confections, and meals. Food is mostly good but some are misses. Friendly staff in an inviting, if not cozy, atmosphere. I here regularly and recommend others do too, especially for breads.
Good quality bread, baked goods, and sandwiches. Excellent soups. A little bit on the pricey side ($60 for 2 sandwiches 2 soups and 2 muffins) but definitely would make this an occasional treat.
Turtle Bread Company is a cozy spot in Minneapolis. The coffee, pastries and specifically tomato basil soup are my personal favorites! Whether you are meeting up with people for a meal or just want another quiet spot to study / be productive , Turtle Bread Company is the perfect place!
