Had never been here for breakfast, it was fabulous. Fresh squeezed OJ, great thick bacon, oat milk latte and the service was excellent. On a Saturday morning, we didn’t wait at all. Hidden gem for breakfast, as I am a local, I’ve tried them all.

Room service. Staff was terrific. Caesar salad was very good but kind of small for the price imo. Came with two little snchovies on it so be sure to remember that if you don't like the smell of fish. The French onion soup was terrific! Cannot say enough nice things about it.

The bartenders and managers were spectacular. It was one of the best French onion soups I've had in some time. We stopped there multiple times for food and cocktails while in town for Billy Joel.

Old school charm at its best. Don’t let the “curb appeal” of next door hotel dissuade you. This place is the real deal. Good food. Wonderful service. And above all a great cocktail spot where you can actually have a conversation and linger a bit. And on warm days the outdoor cafe tables are the best part (especially on this side of downtown). This place has been around forever for a reason.

We stayed at the Normandy so we came here for breakfast every morning and dinner a few times. The service is very friendly and fast and the food was always very good.

Easily the best restaurant/bar in a downtown Minneapolis hotel. Great staff, solid drinks, and excellent food. We’ll definitely be back!

Happened to be staying at the attached hotel and decided to stop by one of the evenings, I was a little confused about how everything was supposed to work (sitting yourself?) and kinda just stood around for a few minutes till a waiter asked if we needed help. Disregarding the initial hesitation, everything went rather well. Our pizza did take a moment to arrive but it was delicious, crisp and warm! I regret waiting until the last day to eat here, truly a wonderful meal- even if they seem perhaps short handed or maybe just were that night specifically.

I usually come here for the expertly crafted drinks. The bartenders know their trade and make a great cocktail. They use fresh fruit and fresh juices and it's a pleasure watching them work and drinking the product. The service here is equally wonderful and friendly. The innkeeper can sometimes be spotted out in the bar area. The manager, bartenders, and staff are very accommodating and hospitable. The food here is good. The French onion is to die for. The hanger steak is delicious, although the sauce underling the steak can sometimes be a little off; too tomato forward, but it's just a matter of my personal taste. The Oysters are always wonderful. The decor and ambiance is really nice. There isn't much to nitpick at or complain about. It's a wonderful little place. There is street parking available nearby. I've never had a problem finding parking during dinner hours.

Another restaurant that we've been saying we want to visit... we were not disappointed. Rotisserie chicken with polenta and Brussels sprouts and also the Walleye with mushroom risotto -- everything was seasoned well. The decor in the dining room was very cozy, good background music. We'll be back again to try other options!

The food was delicious and the staff members were quick and responsive. I ordered the sauteed mushrooms and they were good but needed a little salt/seasoning. 🍄 the bread that comes with it was nice and warm with a perfectly crisp crust. I also ordered the asparagus pizza. I wasn't expecting the asparagus to be a full stalk. I was imagining them being chopped up and dispersed throughout the pizza. It was still good, but it was hard to take a bite with those full stalks.
