i felt welcome from the time I walked in from the mgr. I sat at the bar to have dinner which was phenomenal except the grits I don't recommend them . I was scared to walk back to my hotel cause it was dark, I was alone, and I'm a female. The manager who was taking care of reservations was so gracious to offer to walk me back safely. Never in a million years would've I expected that. The gentleman bartender was also very friendly and professional. I will definitely recommend this place to others not only for the food but spectacular going beyond service!

Our dinners have been outstanding every time. Highly recommend the meatloaf, fish specials, steak and popovers. Good wine selection. Wonderful atmosphere since the recent renovations. Always feel welcome. And come on a jazz night for added charm. Jazz night makes a good date night.

Another restaurant that we've been saying we want to visit... we were not disappointed. Rotisserie chicken with polenta and Brussels sprouts and also the Walleye with mushroom risotto -- everything was seasoned well. The decor in the dining room was very cozy, good background music. We'll be back again to try other options!

We stayed at the Normandy so we came here for breakfast every morning and dinner a few times. The service is very friendly and fast and the food was always very good.

The Normandy pub is one of our favorite local spots. The bartender makes a perfect Wisconsin Old Fashioned and they have a good selection of beers and wines. While there is nothing on the menu for vegans, our server and the head chef, Luis, we’re willing to work with us. We had the best vegan risotto I’ve ever eaten. We look forward to coming back over the summer!

Old school charm at its best. Don’t let the “curb appeal” of next door hotel dissuade you. This place is the real deal. Good food. Wonderful service. And above all a great cocktail spot where you can actually have a conversation and linger a bit. And on warm days the outdoor cafe tables are the best part (especially on this side of downtown). This place has been around forever for a reason.

The food was fantastic!! Got the eggs benedict and hash browns n it was delicious!! The waitress really didn't check on us often but was polite. The hotel was just ok 🤷🏼 the front desk people were kind of short with people at times n the beds werent really that comfortable. The couch they had in the living room part of the "suite" was an old beat up couch that sank in really bad in the middle.

Had dinner here and the food was good. Things got a little loud as the evening progressed because of the proximity of the bar to the restaurant. Interesting decor and a great experience.

I usually come here for the expertly crafted drinks. The bartenders know their trade and make a great cocktail. They use fresh fruit and fresh juices and it's a pleasure watching them work and drinking the product. The service here is equally wonderful and friendly. The innkeeper can sometimes be spotted out in the bar area. The manager, bartenders, and staff are very accommodating and hospitable. The food here is good. The French onion is to die for. The hanger steak is delicious, although the sauce underling the steak can sometimes be a little off; too tomato forward, but it's just a matter of my personal taste. The Oysters are always wonderful. The decor and ambiance is really nice. There isn't much to nitpick at or complain about. It's a wonderful little place. There is street parking available nearby. I've never had a problem finding parking during dinner hours.

Easily the best restaurant/bar in a downtown Minneapolis hotel. Great staff, solid drinks, and excellent food. We’ll definitely be back!

Had never been here for breakfast, it was fabulous. Fresh squeezed OJ, great thick bacon, oat milk latte and the service was excellent. On a Saturday morning, we didn’t wait at all. Hidden gem for breakfast, as I am a local, I’ve tried them all.

Happened to be staying at the attached hotel and decided to stop by one of the evenings, I was a little confused about how everything was supposed to work (sitting yourself?) and kinda just stood around for a few minutes till a waiter asked if we needed help. Disregarding the initial hesitation, everything went rather well. Our pizza did take a moment to arrive but it was delicious, crisp and warm! I regret waiting until the last day to eat here, truly a wonderful meal- even if they seem perhaps short handed or maybe just were that night specifically.
