The best pizza in Northeast Mpls! All the pies I have had at Pizza Nea are well-balanced, the crust is chewy but crisp and crusty, and light and flavorful like good bread should be, but not carbon-coated and charred like Neapolitan-style pizza can sometimes be. The red sauce is perfect, but all their pizzas that lack tomato sauce are just as enjoyable. Cozy place, with charming folks at work. The staff seem to genuinely enjoy one another's company, and that of their customers. Pizza Nea's vegetarian take on the Salsicce, made using ingredients from nearby Herbivorous Butcher, is absolutely delicious. Appetizers, Desserts, and Salads, along with their beer and wine choices are excellent. The owner is friendly and funny, and seems like a cool guy.
My boyfriend and I ordered the spinaci pizza and had them make it vegan and gluten free. It was perfect. It's so nice to go to a restaurant that has so many options!
Really amazing wood fired pizza! It's probably now my favorite pizza place in the cities. They have amazing vegan options with cheese and meats from the Herbivorous Butcher just down the road, so when you dine here you're supporting two local businesses! The vegetables also tasted very fresh and the wine selection was nice.
Great pizza overall. Definitely stands up against some other great spots in town like Pizza Lucé. Just like Galactic Pizza, Nea offers vegan pizza for 99% of their menu. Their crust was perfect, & just the slightest char on the bottom.
Outstanding quality, no matter your dietary restrictions. The first few times we went here, I had their standard pizzas. After trying my vegan girlfriend's pizza, I've switched. High quality vegan ingredients from The Herbivorous Butcher make the plant-based versions taste identical to the standard versions.
The atmosphere is just as great. Quaint, quiet, and small tables make this a perfect date night choice. Decent selection of bottled local beer.
We had the Salsicce ( Herbivorous Butcher's Italian sausage & vegan mozzarella cheese) AND Capricciosa ( artichokes and vegan mozzarella). Lovely service from Lindsay! It was our first time in Minnesota so she helped us with a nice list of places to eats and explore ! :)
I went here for the first time around 5:00 on a Saturday. It is a smaller restaurant but we were the only ones in there for about 10-15 minutes before another group showed up. The server was very nice and was able to give us good recommendations on food. They are able to make pizzas vegan (cheese and meat) which is definitely a plus for me. The pizza was very good and full of flavor. They offer red and white sauces for the pizza as well. Our food was served quickly and everyone at the table enjoyed their meals. My sister and nieces got tiramisu and apple crisp, and they loved both desserts, but especially the tiramisu. The prices are decent but the food and service was amazing. Unfortunately I was only able to get a picture of the apple crisp as everything else was devoured too quickly! We highly recommend this place!
A new standard has been set for vegan pizza. Easy five stars. It is also worth mentioning the great hospitality and draft beers as well.
Drove past a many of times without stopping in. What a mistake. Perfect bubbly crispy crust. Great sauce flavor and toppings options. I will return soon for another pizza craving.

Some of the best pizza in the twin cities. Their sauce has a unique flavor profile others just lack. Also, there are a lot of actually tasty vegetarian/vegan options.
The price is a little on the high end for pizza, but worth it. Service is also great.
I can really only take a star off for atmosphere. The space is not used well and feels very cramped, but I definitely plan on returning.
This is our favorite pizza joint in the twin cities! Napolitan style pizza cooked over a fire is hard to beat!
We have been dining here for the past 6 years and they have never once left us disappointed. Food quality, uniqueness of their ingredients and toppings, and quality service have always kept us coming back!
