One of my absolute favorite spots in the city. The food and drinks are always fantastic but what stood out this time was the service. I was in with a group of coworkers (about 15-18 of us) and our server Makeda was outstanding. If she was stressed or overwhelmed, she definitely didn’t show it. Warm, attentive, and funny. I’ve been coming back for the good and drinks but now I’ll come back for KeKe!

The food was delicious. I highly recommend the aha tuna taco and I wish that I could have had that habanero sauce on the pork belly, but unfortunately I cannot have spicy any longer so they were kind enough to replace it with the Verde, that was quite tasty as well. You must try the queso with chorizo, It is very thick and makes you want to keep grabbing another chip and eating more, But it is very filling. It has a unique taste. My dad ordered the steak tacos and he said they were delicious. The staff was very spot-on and our server was helpful with explaining the menu and the preparation in serving the food. The place appeared very clean the decor was nice and it wasn't cluttered and all in all it was just a very cool atmosphere to be in. We walked from our hotel, to eat at another place that had stopped serving food after 5:00 and so we decided to walk just a little bit further and landed on this place! If you're in the area I highly recommend it!

A great experience. We are not Tequila experts by any means, so we sat at the bar and leaned on the bartender's extensive knowledge of everything about the drink. We ordered two flights recommended by the expert, and multiple small plates. The food was amazing, the Tequila was, well, it was Tequila. I regret my palate lacks the refinement to discern the subtleties the bartender was describing. It was a unique experience that in the end was not that expensive (compared to other more pedestrian restaurants). Highly recommend

I had a chance to experience this restaurant that was highly recommended by a local while I was visiting from FL. From walking in, being seated, the staff was amazing. The tacos were a highlight of my day. They were filling but you could tell the ingredients were fresh. Everything was PERFECT! Great experience 😀

Flew in from NYC to MN for their State Fair. Since I'm traveling solo I wanted to dine local in a lively area. This place was two blocks from my hotel and I must say what a great find! I had the tamal and a mocktail. Both were really good! The tomato based pepper salsa was just right...a slow building heat and the crema cooled it down. For dessert I had the tres leches. Portion size was large. It was okay but not authentic. Food service was quick also. My only slight observation is the waitress was polite but a little cold. Probably due to busy day. Overall a really good experience for my first time downtown Minnesota. I would visit again.

What a fun location! Stopped in for a drink before going to the theatre and it was a lovely busy atmosphere! The bar staff was particularly impressive not only for their delicious cocktails (I had the Diamanté Pepino with mezcal—spicy and delicious) but for managing an impressive volume with professionalism and attention to detail.

I have to say that this was a very enjoyable experience! Not only were they able to accommodate a last minute reservation with a group of 6 of us, but the service and food was outstanding. Their quick turnaround to ensure we got back to our conference was stellar. I have to give kudos to both Tony (host) and Lucas (waiter). They made us feel welcome as visitors to Minneapolis and that all of our needs were met. Great work, Barrio!

Great drinks, great atmosphere, guacamole and homemade chips were delicious. We didn’t have a lot of time so didn’t get dinner, but the tacos look amazing! If you get a chance to stop here even for a drink, do it! They have other options besides tequila- other liquor, wine, beer. Can’t wait to go back to try more!
