Never a bad time. The staff here is excellent and the collection of draft beers is a very good one. The chicken sandwich is a greasy spoon but amazing! The furikake chicken has been a classic for years now. In summer you can sit outside and it's really cozy in the winter time to sit by the open kitchen. They prolly have the best burger in town too. This place is the hard work of two culinary geniuses both brothers who also happen to know a thing or two about hospitality. Go! Enjoy!

For starters the service was amazing. Gluten free is an option and they are well versed in what is and what is not and why! This is great for my wife! The $17 Signature Old Fashion was no better than most premix you can get at any liquor store, the Margarita was good but extremely small, the fact that you get the option between distilled or sparking water is a neat thing. Now for the food. For apps we shared fried brussel sprouts and poke nachos. I give a 9 on both. The Brussels were flavorful and crispy and the nachos were superb. I could have licked the sauce off the plate. The steak pasta absolutely needs a bread stick. Who serves pasta without a bread stick? The misoyaki salmon was done to perfection and the fried wild rice concoction is to die for. This is a must try for sure. The special was the lobster roll. I was told the onions were overpowering and the filling to bread ratio was most definitely on the bread side for being the winner in that competition. The buttermilk chicken sandwich was a definite hit. A little heat and loaded with flavor. This is a place to visit for sure. If we are in the area again we will definitely be back

Great experience. Our server was personable and gave great recommendations. The poach pear dessert, salmon and pork dumplings were all flavorful. Cozy atmosphere.

Lake & Irving was a delightful dining experience that truly surpassed all expectations. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The ambiance of the restaurant was relaxed and enjoyable, setting the perfect tone for our evening. Now, let's talk about the food. Oh, the food! The culinary offerings at Lake & Irving were nothing short of exceptional. Every dish we tried was a masterpiece, bursting with innovative flavors and presented with artistic flair. We started with the poblano soup, which was a velvety concoction of rich flavors that left us craving for more. The beet salad was a visual stunner, with vibrant colors and fresh ingredients that danced on our palates. But the real star of the show was the special of the night - the sea bass with lobster risotto rice cake. It was a symphony of flavors, perfectly cooked fish with succulent lobster nestled atop a bed of creamy risotto, all wrapped in a crispy rice cake. It was a culinary masterpiece that left us in awe of the chef's skills and creativity. The service at Lake & Irving was top-notch. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly, making us feel like honored guests. Our server took the time to explain the different dishes and made recommendations that perfectly matched our preferences. It was clear that the team at Lake & Irving takes pride in providing exceptional service to their guests. In addition to the outstanding food and service, Lake & Irving also had a well-curated beverage menu. The wine list was extensive, offering a great selection of both local and international wines. The craft cocktails were also a highlight, with unique and creative concoctions that perfectly complemented the flavors of the food. In conclusion, Lake & Irving exceeded our expectations across the board. The food was on par with any top-rated restaurant, with innovative, fun, and flavor-packed dishes that left us craving for more. The service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. We left Lake & Irving with satisfied taste buds, happy hearts, and memories of an extraordinary dining experience. We can't wait to return and indulge in their culinary delights once again

Service I had here was great! We just came here for a few drinks and some apps but the fries we had and the drinks were delicious. The brussel sprouts were a bit overdone in my opinion (but good in a way other people liked more than me) Highly recommend the flycopter drink!

Friendly helpful staff, great food. They accommodated us outside for a group of 10, rearranging tables with a great attitude. I had the poke nachos and the loco novo with ahi tuna - not sure what they put in that sauce to make it so delicious! Hubby enjoyed the wings and Cesar salad. All great!

Anything I have to say is in the superlative. The waiter merely saw that there was a "Happy Birthday" bag next to my daughter and, without prompting, came over with a dessert and well wishes. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect! It was my first time there. It won't be my last. They made quite the impression.

This place is so highly underrated. One of the best burgers in the entire state, great drinks, food and staff. We go here consistently to celebrate special occasions. Feel like it is a hidden gem!

This was our first time visiting Minneapolis and our server, Matt, was so welcoming and attentive throughout our entire meal. He went out of his way to make sure our experience was a pleasant one and that we enjoyed everything. We started off with the Nashville hot smoked wings & ghost pepper aioli - these had a really great and potent kick to them, were nice and crispy on the outside, and the ghost pepper aioli was a perfect spicy compliment. For entrees we had the cheeseburger and the Loco Moco. Cheeseburger was juicy, flavorful, and the cheese on top was delicious. We substituted the regular fries for spicy fries which was definitely a good call! Loco Moco was so tasty. We chose the ahi tuna which was perfectly seared but the true stars of the dish were the crispy coconut shrimp and coconut curry. All the flavors blended so well and the over easy egg on top was perfection. Will definitely be back the next time we visit Minneapolis!
