Black Sheep Coal Fired Pizza

Had to park a bit far to get there... and we had to fit six people into a booth made for four. That was the only negative thing from our visit. The thin crust pepperoni pizza was great. Had a good tangy sause, wife's of black on the edges (I will not eat a pizza that has black all over and on the bottom. I don't want the burnt flavor to overwhelm) this was perfectly cooked. Super thin 2.5 inch pepperoni virtually covered the whole pizza. Service was prompt, servers friendly, drinks came quickly as did the pizza. Reasonably priced. I'd go back any time to try the flavors!

We did takeout for 3 pizzas. The flavor of each pizza was good, but we thought the dough was lacking. The center was undercooked, and the edges felt dense. We got the Tomato, Pepper, and Olive. Lemon Ricotta, goat cheese, and basil. Smoked hot honey chicken, banana pepper, and red onion. Each pizza was good, but we were dissapointed by the dough. I will try again sometime in the future. Great customer service! They truly care about making their customers happy!

We left feeling full and happy—this is a great spot for any occasion, especially after an evening of rock climbing. There is something to be said for the appetizers and side dishes at a pizza place, especially here. The chicken lemon and thyme skewers, mushroom skewers, shrimp skewers, and steak skewers were perfectly cooked, smokey, and juicy. The goat cheese and lemon pizza was creamy and rich. Everything was absolutely killer, from the cider to the service. Hope to be back again to try more of their menu!

This place really has it all, even if it didn't have a coal-fired oven. Yes, this place does the best pizza and it's all thanks to that oven, but the staff here were also just as great, plenty on tap, and good vibes all around in this hip location. For pizza, I look for a crust that cracks, generous with the cheese, and a sauce that doesn't get left behind. Black Sheep Pizza checks all those boxes and more!

The pizzas are awesome here. We had two pizzas and they were both very delicious. I would recommend the meatball ricotta and garlic pizza to anyone. The flavors are great. The staff was good and they checked back in with our table. The atmosphere is a bit loud but I’m not sure if that was just because there was a Twins baseball game on.

We arrived early evening, so not many people were in at first. It could easily get noisy with more people, but the pizza was so good. We tried one with lemon ricotta cheese and basil that some didn’t like, but I thought it was a good combination of sweet/sour and savory. The other one had smoked chicken and a sweet chili sauce. It had a little kick, but so good! I highly recommend this place.

What a great example of a well-oiled machine of a pizza shop. Workers all looked happy and having a good time while also making works of art. We talked to a few of them while waiting for our order and they were all such a pleasure to be around. The establishment is clean and modern and just overall very sharp looking. Indoor seating, outdoor seating, space to sit down and enjoy some good coffee as well. Also highly recommend checking out their merchandise. Super cool designs. Loved the black on black shirt!!! Will 110% be back for more.
