My 5stars are for the cashier that was working today I mean just overall customer service and advice was definitely appreciated and made my day on top of my food being nice hot and delicious with a slice cake! One of the few places to serve ham hocks. My husband loves them. I had smothered pork chops. This is my second favorite place for the chops. You have to call in your order or go through drive thru and wait in your car.
The food is always good and you get healthy portions. I always have leftovers. This is my go to stop for good soul food.

By far FIVE STAR…. Take out soul food with a reasonable price 👍🏿 ain’t nobody doing soul food like them In Milwaukee in-less ur eating at grannies lbvs. I think that you can judge a restaurant by its utensils lol because I feel like if a restaurant does not skimp on the price for the utensils then they’re probably not doing that with the food either. And that was my experience here and utensils were sturdy in the food was even sturdier if that’s even a word. Nice portions sizes as well… definitely 👍🏿 a must try.
Food was excellent the owner was all alone. Yet the food was made to order. I had fried cat fish, smoked cabbage, and mashed potatoes. Even after having to put off eating for about an hour. My food was great. My daughter's had the burgers they really liked them too.
This was my first time there. I purchased a catfish dinner for my uncle. The food looked good, it was prepared well. He said it was good. I tasted the fish, and it was delicious. So I will return there to try something for myself.
The young lady that took our order was very pleasant and helpful.
First time coming here and ordered a catfish sandwich and fried green tomatoes. Both were flavorful and hot! Took about 20 minutes to get my order. I would come back again to try other dishes.
they delivered to me and don’t even deliver 🙌🏾 . glad they did , they were great too - they should try a different cheese for the Mac but OVERALL i enjoyed everything from the dinner to dessert to drinks 🫡 Smothered steak was awesome , yams , black eyes , cabbage , cornbread , salmon patties were amazing ✅
I’m not from Milwaukee area, so when I was driving down the street, I saw the name and thought “Hey, Let’s try it out”. The person who took my order was a young cheerful girl who recommended me jambalaya which was absolutely delicious. Loved every bite and it reminded me of my grandmas cooking. 5/5 would come again when I swing back through this city.
